Rain

Heyo! This is my first time writing on Wattpad. I will try to have *good* punctuation and grammar. I would love to hear back from you and see what you think! I'm gonna try to update at least every other night. Here's this story.

~~~ L's P.O.V.~~~

'I need to go' I thought as it started to rain outside. It was getting stuffy in the investigation room. It seemed as though ever since I had woken up that morning, there was the never ending sound of church bells. It was very distracting in my work. Besides, I needed a break.

When I walked outside it was pouring. There was nobody around. I let my mind wander and started thinking about the Kira case. 'Light Yagami is Kira. I am right...right? I don't want Light to be Kira, but he has to be! Light Yagami...Why did I have to like you so much, so much as to love you from the bottom of my heart. It doesn't make any sense. Why?' I started to cry softly, facing the rain to hide my emotion. The bells continued to toll louder and louder in my head. I needed to pull myself together. Taking deep breaths, I calmed down. Looking up I felt the rain on my face, kissing my lips and soaking my being. Suddenly, Light appeared by the door on the roof. He started to say something inaudible. I gave him a puzzled look. " What are you doing in the rain?" Light yelled. I pretended not to hear him, though I barely could with these annoying bells ringing in my head.

~~~Light's P.O.V.~~~

I noticed L leave the room. As I watched him leave, I wanted to follow him. I decided to wait two minutes before following him so it wouldn't look to suspicious. 'What are you up to now, L?' I thought as I searched around the building. He hadn't gone to the bathroom, or to the bedroom. I checked almost all the rooms he would have a reason to go to, minus Misa's room, the last place to check was the roof. If L was there I could see what he was up to, and if he wasn't then it was still a good place to think.

As I reached the roof I noticed that it was pouring , and had almost decided not to go had I not heard a small whimper. I waited a couple seconds, then opened the door. I saw L standing there in the rain. his ghost-like features perfectly complementing the rain around him. He seemed sad. In a way I felt sorry for him. 'He's my enemy, so why do I feel so sorry for him? He looks so perfect though, right now. maybe if we were just friends then-' I cut off the thought. 'My emotions cannot get the better of me. I must kill L. He is in my way, L is against me. Even if he did like you, you're still Kira, god of the new world. It could never work. Idiot.' I decided to say something. "What are you doing out there?" He didn't hear me so I yelled it this time. Still no use, I came closer to his pitiful form and felt like hugging him, to give him comfort. Instead I just asked what he was doing in the rain. He smiled a sad smile, and said nothing. I couldn't help myself, I abruptly swept him up in my arms. For a while we just sat there. I looked down at L's eyes and suddenly felt him kiss me. I closed my eyes and kissed him back. It was a long, loving kiss.
