I'm stuck in this world.
A deeply conflicted realm,
where everything is so hard to catch,
and so easy to lose.
But soon, another world calls,
more fantastic,
more fulfilling,
than the one I'm trapped in.
It beckons, speaks to me.
And I am the only one,
who hears this solitary voice.
If I try to ignore it,
the voice only persists.
And it almost seems,
like I have no choice.
But I still succumb to its breathless words,
its tempting promises,
offer up handsome rewards,
if I explore this foreign land.
Now as I travel, light-years away,
my old life is erased.
The old planet crumbles,
lost in a long-forgotten galaxy.
The sparkling blackness,
the mystery beyond,
quietly entices me.
As the universe spins,
I get this feeling that I've finally...
...escaped.(S.M.)
