During one of my classes today, I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. It just had to be Lucy. No one else would send me a message at this time. The entire class was busy watching a video on the topic Spermatozoa. We were not allowed to use our phones during our classes but I was desperate to read Lucy's message. I had to excuse myself out of the classroom. I found Lucy's message more important than some boring video presentation.

I was right. It was Lucy.

Lucy: I'm so sorry babe. I fell asleep. It was just that I was so tired and my stomach is killing me man. I hope you understand. I don't want you to be angry with me.

Me: I love you so how can I be angry with you. I was worried about you and I still am. How are you now? Oh! How I wish I was there with you. I could be your doctor and take care of you my love.

Lucy: I'm feeling great now babe. I just needed some sleep. So what are you up to? I hope that I'm not disturbing. If you want me to go then just let me know.

Me: No I'm free. I just want to talk to you.

I know I lied. But I didn't want to tell her that I'm supposed to be in a class right now, if I do then Lucy'll say good-bye and I don't want that. I want to talk to Lucy.

Lucy: Are you completely serious about your visa application? This doesn't mean that I don't trust you, I do but I never thought anyone would do something like that for me. Why didn't you come in my life a little earlier man? You are perfect.

Me: WE are perfect my love. This distance has made us so strong. I am completely honest about the visa, actually, I'll be going for the interview tomorrow to the US embassy. It is only going to be a month's wait before we finally meet.

Lucy: Wow, will you really fly across the world for me? You are incredible. I can't wait to see you my love. I love you a lot. <3

Me: I love you a lot too.

That's just great! My phone's battery died. At least I was able to say I Love You  to Lucy. Destiny is a thing. I believe in it more than ever now. Unfortunately, I missed the video presentation but I have no regrets. I'll pick Lucy over anything, even my own life.
