Zero
As we followed Isabella throughout her main castle, my eyes drifted towards my pet. He was clearly stressed out, and from the way he was gnawing at his lips I could tell they'd be bleeding soon. I was pulled out of my thoughts when a heavy metal door clanked open.
"This is my slave dungeon. All slaves reside here. Visitors or not." Isabella turned to me with a raised eyebrow and gestured to my pet. My human looked up at me and gripped my side tightly. I sighed. I was gonna have to leave him here until our stay was finished.
"Come on pet, let go." I whispered to him. He shook his head and I bristled at the disobedience.
"Let go of me now." I snarled out. He made no move to back away and I elongated my claws and swung down hard on his face, making his head jerk to the side. I watched the blood run down his cheeks and still he wouldn't let go of my waist.
"Please Sir, I can't go in there.. I- I'm supposed to protect you. Y-Your mother will kill me if I don't." He stuttered out. I growled at the mention of my mother before a smarter thought crossed my mind. He couldn't have been afraid of death. He had charged at those demon hounds as if he had nothing to lose. There had to be another reason. I turned to Isabella.
"My pet cannot stay apart from me because my mother assigned him as my bodyguard." Isabella stifled a laugh and I narrowed my eyes in confusion.
"A human bodyguard?! Haha! That's ridiculous! Humans are the weakest species!" My human bristled at my side and I heard his swords unsheathe and I quickly grabbed his arm.
"If you think I'm so weak fight me! You fucking bitch!! Fight me!!" My human declared. He was shaking with anger and Isabella laughed at him.
"If I fought you, it would be too easy to win." She whistled and a little fae girl walked toward her side. Quite obviously a low ranking, but strong fae nonetheless.
"Emily, I need you to kill this human at all costs. Do your worst." My mouth gaped open at the command as the faery girl immediately let her wings spread on her back. Her wings were entirely black except for the red flame at the tips of them and her eyes had turned black.
"Wait Isabella, isn't there a better way to solve our differences here?" Isabella shook her head.
"Let him go. If he can beat Emily by some miracle of our Goddesses, I'll let him stay with you." I sighed and stepped back from my human.
"I just wanted to save Emily's life." I muttered under my breath. Demons were way stronger than lower rank Faeries like her and I knew my human wouldn't lose after having killed so many demons.
The faery let loose a high pitched shriek just as my human unsheathed both of his swords. This wouldn't be pretty. Emily lunged for him from the air, a black mist coming from her wings and wrapping around my human's body. My human gasped at the pain that, undoubtedly, had surrounded his body. He fell onto his knees and it looked like he was crying. Emily swooped down to him, going in for the kill when my human jumped up and swung both of his swords at the same time, slicing one of her wings clean off and slicing through her stomach. The mist disappeared from his body instantly and he jumped on top of her.
Emily was whimpering and trying to crawl away. From what I knew about Faeries, having your wings cut off was the same as having your tail cut off for a werewolf or having your nails pulled off one at a time for a human. I wasn't even sure how she hadn't passed out from the pain that she was surely experiencing. My human pressed his sword against the front of her neck as she choked on her own blood and begged for mercy. It seemed that he granted her that mercy by jumping down hard on the handle of his blade once, effectively slicing the sword through her neck and ending her suffering.
