FINAL CHAPTER EVERYONE!

RICKY

Back at the cabin I eagerly put away the shopping with a spring in my step, I was so close to being rescued that I could almost taste it. Ghost was somewhere else in the cabin, I think he went off to the office but I really wasn't paying attention too focused on myself.

Outside the kitchen window, Ryan's head pops up startling me. He grins while I clutch my chest and my fast beating heart. I dart my head around making sure Ghost was nowhere in sight if he saw Ryan he'd freak out.

Ryan makes a pointing motion toward the locked back door. I shake my head and make an 'it's locked' motion back at him.

"Ricky, we have a problem?"

Ghost runs into the kitchen as Ryan ducks back down into the bushes. I turn around and try to act shocked.

"What's wrong Ghost?"

"Someone or something has triggered one of my traps."

I forgot that Ghost had traps set up around the cabin to alert him if anyone or anything came close. Ryan didn't know about these traps and had just lost the element of surprise.

"No one knows we're here Ghost," I quiver my lip, "are they going to take me away from you?"

Ghost shakes his head and stalks towards me holding out a gun which I take with some reluctance. As much as I wanted to wound him, everything could still go tits up for Ryan's rescue plan so I still needed to stay in character and convince Ghost that I was on his side.

"What am I suppose to do with this?"

"If anybody comes in the cabin I want you to shoot them kitten. I'm going to check outside but won't be far away, just scream if you need help."

I nod and Ghost runs out of the kitchen. I lean against the sink and listen as the front door slams open and Ghost runs out into the night. I had nothing to be worried about right? Ryan was a trained killer; he killed people for a living. Then again Ghost was in the same field of work as well so the two of them would be evenly matched in strength and knowledge. It could go either way; I just needed to wait it out in the kitchen. Unless Ryan screamed or shouted for help, and then I'd leave the safety of the kitchen and run to his aid.

If Ghost somehow overcame Ryan and killed him, I'd either kill myself or proclaim my love for Ryan and then Ghost would have to kill me. I wanted to be in a loving relationship and grow old with Ryan; I didn't want to have to lurk in the shadows forever killing to survive.

"Ricky!"

Ryan's voice snaps my head up and a huge smile spreads across my face as my lover stands in the doorway. I don't see any blood on him, so I didn't know if he'd beaten Ghost or not.

"Ryan, I never thought I'd see you again."

I throw myself at the taller male nearly knocking him off his feet. Ryan laughs and wraps his arms around me before kissing me roughly on the lips.

"God, it's good to see you again Ricky. I'm sorry I took my time but Ghost was very hard to track down."

I nod and pull away from Ryan going back to stand by the sink.

"I did what you said and pretended to be in love with him Ryan. Is he dead?"

Ryan shakes his head.

"He's still outside, I managed to give me a bit of a runaround but he'll be back here soon as to not leave you alone."

"We need to keep up the act Ryan. I need Ghost to think that he's won and you've lost, Ghost will be less vigilant if he thinks I've chosen him over you."
