He hides in the dark

Alone

Teeth and claws stained

With blood

Eyes bright red with

Thirst

Paws drenched from the

Flood

Hunger courses through

His body

His teeth are bared

At the stranger

He growled deep in;

His throat

His keen senses sensing

Danger

An arrow

Through his heart

A new journey

About to start

He says his final goodbyes

Thinking

“Who will miss me when I die?”

An angel found him

And whispered “I’m here”

“It’s ok”

“I’m always here”

She smiled softly

And kissed his nose

And disappeared

As he rose

A beast that is feared

An angel who is brave

Came together

And the beast was saved…
