She was a backwards Cinderella,
Though from looking, you couldn't tell her.
Her family was fine, no tragedy,
Her clothing and shoes weren't ripped or raggedy.
She wasn't made to sweep floors,
Or do any ridiculous chores.
But her Prince Charming, he never came,
She had lived her life in loveless vain.
Because while Cinderella had a happy ending,
This girl's heart, it just kept bending and bending.
While Cinderella lived with her prince, a crown atop her head,
The girl was left to cry, left alone, for dead.
