Chapter 8

Jaerin's p.o.v

"Tae-" She stood up in shock, seeing us all there.

"How long ?" His voice is deep and cold making me scared.

"Long enough." She whispered. Taehyung clenched his fists.

"And Joonie ? Whose is he ?" If she says it's not his I think he'll die.

"Yours Taehyung. I swear. I even got a DNA test." She said on the verge of crying.

I trusted her and she broke his heart like this.

"You can get your things tomorrow. Don't ever go near me and your son ever again." He walked out. I stood my ground.

"I trusted you." I told her. She's now a crying mess.

She hugged me.

"Take care of them for me." She whispered as she hugged me.

"Believe me. I loved him. I really did." She told me. I walked out catching up to the boys.

I got in the car and saw that Joonie was crying. I took out one if his bottles and gave him milk.

We arrived at the house in silence.

"Wait here." Taehyung told all of us. We nodded.

"She cheated on him. I can't believe it." Kookie whispered.

"He loved her with all his heart yet she threw that away. I would kill to be in her position." I quietly said as I fed Joonie.

"Do you still love him ? After all those years ?" Jin asked me and I softly nodded.

"He needs you right now. The two of them does." Hobi patted my back.

"Stay strong Rinnie." Jimin whispered as Taehyung went out of the house carrying a suitcase, Joonie's baby bag and his crib and high chair.

He put them in the back and continued driving.

I know what he's thinking. It's off to my apartment we go.

When we arrived there Taehyung quietly took all their things to the house and I took little Joonie out.

"Hyung we're leaving now." Jungkook told Tae.

"Be careful hyungs." Taehyung nodded to his hyungs and said goodbye.

He quickly took a shower and when he got out, there I was throwing little Joonie in the air and catching him, giggling when I do. After I catched Joonie, I felt an arm snake around my waist, hugging me from behind.

"Thank you for everything Rinnie." I turned around with Joonie in my arms and hugged him. He hugged us back and kissed mine's and Joonie's forehead. I walked to the bed and put Joonie in the middle. Taehyung sat beside him.

After Joonie fell asleep, Taehyung broke down. I let a few tears slip too.

He fell asleep a few hours later in exhaustion. And I sat there beside them, wide-awake. Observing the duo.

This could have been my family if I just had the courage.

The next morning Taehyung woke up early to make breakfast for his favourite people. He looked beside him and saw that his son is curled up beside his best friend. The sight made him smile.

'If I had the courage to pursue her back then would she have cheated on me now ?' He asked himself.

'If I didn't give up on her would I get hurt like this ?' He thought more but he shook his head.

'Aish no Taehyung.' He scolded him self and sofly kissed his son's forehead and Jaerin's as he stood up to go to the kitchen.

He quietly made breakfast, surprisingly feeling a lot better than he thought he would after yesterday. The pain is still there but it isn't much.
