I buckle my seat belt then turn in my seat to look at Nate.
"Is this a date?" I ask, bluntly.
"That depends. Do you want it to be?" he asks with a smirk. I blush and look down at my lap. After a few minutes of silence, I get up the nerve to ask another question.
"Why now?"
"Huh?" he asks, confusion written all over his features.
"We've been friends for years. Why is all of this happening now?"
"I'm sick of being a player, Celia," he says, and my head shoots up to be able to look him in the eye.
"It's time for me to be with someone for more than a couple of weeks. You, Celia, are that someone."
I blush again as we pull up to the movie theater.
