Uhane's POV

All I'm going to say about this girl is that Light Witches look even cheesier in person.

"Hello, Uhane. My name is Ells. I hope we can be good friends!" She says.

I raise my eyebrows at her as she says that. That was not the first impression she wants to make on a class full of thugs. I honestly feel really sorry for her.

A few of the kids behind me snicker.
Not at Ells, but at me, because I'm in charge of her. I whip my head around, and give them a mature middle finger. Who do they think they are? Mrs. Argyle must have seen this, because she taps on my desk and gives me a stern look.

"Uhane, that's enough. She's our new student, make a decent first impression on her. The first thing she saw when she entered this classroom was you flicking someone off,"

I sigh and turn towards Ells. If the teacher is looking, you have to do what you have to do.

"Hey, I'm your guide," I say, in a fake, high pitched voice.

Mrs. Argyle sighs. "Honestly, Uhane. I don't know what I would do with you if you weren't so good in combat," she says.

I smirk. That's right. Everyone here is a rebel. However, I'm probably the most confident one. I set the example. We come from the bad areas of our region: Magikku. The towns are run solely by Light Witches and Wizards. Dark Witches and Wizards live mostly in South Magikku, and I'm sure you can imagine what goes on there.

"Everyone, flip to page 468 in your potion textbook," Mrs. Argyle says.

I throw the book onto my desk and open it. Ells doesn't have one, and she looks genuinely confused.

I cover my mouth to resist laughing, and slowly scoot the book over towards her.

This kid is like an alien here.

Ells' POV
I saw Uhane flick somebody off with the middle finger. Well, geez. That wasn't friendly at all... This is going to take a long while to get use too...

Uhane looks to me and in a high pitch voice, says "Hey, I'm your guide!"

Was she trying to be offensive, or mocking? Or both? Either way. I heard some kids snickering in the background. I really don't fit in here at all...

Mrs. Argyle was saying something, but I just kept thinking to myself. I don't fit in. Again.
What if I never fit in? What if I just don't belong here... I mean, in this world. If there was another world...

Screw me and my stupid ideas. If I told somebody that (Especially Dark Witches), I would definitely be laughed at by all of the kids.

But, I'm gonna survive here at this weird crazy class. I'm going to get great grades, great friends, and I'm gonna go great!

"Everyone, flip to page 468 in your potion textbook."

Wait... What textbook?! First day at class and I don't even have any textbooks?! Oh no! What do I do?! I'm gonna drown!

Uhane scooted her book close to me. She's also covering her mouth. Hey! It's a start, right? I think so...

"We're gonna be learning about how to make harming potions today." The teacher said, getting out some tubes and such.

Uhane's POV

I blow a bubble with my gum, which is gradually loosing its flavor. I don't need to pay attention to this lesson. I already know how to make harming potions.

"Blah, blah, blah, add one Tear of Anger, blah blah blah, mix with Neon Acid, etc,"

"Uhane," Mrs. Argyle states, snapping me out of my thoughts. "What temperature do you heat harming potions at?"

"250 degrees for 3 minutes," I reply. I don't look up when I say that, so she doesn't see me rolling my eyes.

I feel a tap on my shoulder. It's Ells, of course.

"Why would you want to make harming potions?" She whispers.

I look her in the eye. "What do you think?" I reply sharply.

We are the evil, and the Light are the good. There's going to be a lot of things that this girl will not understand. I need to teach her a thing or two about living and thriving here.

"Alright class, 5 minute break, I have to use the bathroom," Mrs. Argyle states.

As soon as she leaves, everyone in class stands up and swarms around my desk, staring at Ells.

"Wait, so she's a Light Witch, do you think she's here on a secret mission given to her from the mayor or something?" One girl asks.

I shrug.

"Her uniform is ugly. What's it made out of?" Another boy asks.

"Your grandma's chest hair," I shout, earning a few sniggers from everyone.

I swallow my gum and pop another piece into my mouth. Big mistake, because now everyone is going to want a piece.

As if on cue, I hear the same boy I smacked earlier. "Can I have a piece?"

"No," I reply. I tilt my head to the side. "Does that handprint hurt?"

He doesn't reply, but his friends seem to be laughing. I know how to manipulate people.

Turning my focus back to Ells, she seems to be staring at our textbook. Why would she want to read that? It's a bunch of crap.

"Class, I'm back. Settle down, stop crowding her," Mrs. Argyle says as she returns to her seat on her desk.

"We have 5 minutes left of class, so why don't we get to know our new student?" She says.
