Hello, everyone. This is my first ever poetry book, and will contain every poem I wrote on here, unless I decide otherwise. There will be many different styles and genres in my poems (or at least, I hope they will be), but each one will be unique, that I can guarantee you. I hope you enjoy, and feel free to comment your thoughts. I'll make sure to read each one! :)

Heroes and I

I am a boy who loves to read,
No matter what others may say,
The heroes always do a good deed,
And I hope I do good one day.

I read about their strength and power,
Which I always wish I had,
I wish I could reach their tower,
And be as cool as my dad!

The heroes all have good hearts,
And help people have a good day,
They pierce evil with their darts,
And make them see the right way.

The heroes are always so cool,
And I wish I could be that as well,
A lot of them don't need a tool,
And have many stories to tell.

I wish that I could have power,
But I can never be good,
I wish I could build my own tower,
And have powers if I could.

The heroes and I are not the same,
They are good and I am not,
I cannot seem to play their game,
Whilst they can beat the lot.

I wish that I could be cool,
But they never think I am good,
They beat me with their evil tool,
And would hurt me if they could.

The heroes and I are not the same,
I am weak whilst they are strong,
Others think that I am so lame,
And makes my sadness last long.

But I will never give up my dream,
Of being a mighty hero,
I will be a part of a great team,
I will be one whilst they will be zero.

The heroes and I are apart,
But similar in our own way,
Soon I will throw my great dart,
And get a chance to save the day.

Well... How was that? The first poem I wrote on here, and I think it isn't too bad! What do you think? Write your thoughts in the comments! I know it isn't the best, but it is about one of my burning passions: reading. So, it's a fairly special poem for me. The next poem will be up later tonight, or tomorrow. So, I'll see you then!
