Hey, reader! Here's poem number 2! I've decided that this poem won't rhyme. However, there will be 5 beats per line! Hope you enjoy, and feel free to comment your thoughts!

A friend's earthquake

I once had a friend,
The first in high school,
He was a good friend,
And helped with my games,
But when we argued,
I was always blamed,
But we were still friends,
Until the earthquake.

It struck like lightning,
And came so very fast,
I made a bad choice,
And lost my friendship,
We argued too much,
On that earthquake day,
And when time went by,
More arguments came.

We argued so much,
We grew so apart,
That nothing could mend,
That big earthquake crack,
And after a while,
Of arguing lots,
I was left lonely,
Without a good friend.

That earthquake was bad,
It ruined my life,
I struggled with school,
As our hatred grew,
The crack grew much more,
And our dislike grew,
I couldn't stop it,
And neither could they.

But after a while,
Our arguments ceased,
But I was still left,
With a big problem,
I had no close friends,
No one to speak to,
I was left alone,
Whilst they were left fine.

But after a while,
On the last school day,
Something else happened,
And the hate came back,
But the worst thing was,
That I could not know,
For we did not fight,
But my new friends did.

And now I sit here,
Thinking of the crack,
Hoping it could fill,
To end all tension,
I wish it could stop,
And make the crack go,
But it will not leave,
Instead, it just grows.

I wish I could try,
To stop that earthquake,
But the past is gone,
And so is my chance,
But I always hope,
That our hate will die,
But that crack stays there,
With hatred inside.

Well... That was certainly a personal one. I really need to write a poem that's nothing about me. Maybe one that focuses on books, and is actually happy! I think that will be my next poem. A poem on books. See you then!

30/08 update: the third poem is unfortunately going to be delayed until the 1st of September! Mainly because my birthday is coming up very soon, so... Sorry about that!
