*Ashtons POV*

*Buzz buzz* Feeling my phone vibrate in my pocket, I pulled it out. Half expecting it to be a text from one of the guys, I unlocked it without looking. When my eyes finally met the screen they lit up.

'Eva D'Montfort arrives back home in Sydney'

It was just a news alert. A news alert about her. A news alert that made my heart throb. A news alert that made a smile grow across my face like never before. She was back, and this time I wasn't going to miss my chance. Quickly switching from the news app I found Lukes name on my contact list and rang him.

"Hello?"

"Hey Luke, you're not gonna believe who's ba-"

"So you got the news alert too?"

"Yeah, I can't believe it. This is my chance, dude."

"Don't get too carried away, you gotta remember what she's been through. Me and the boys will be over in 5. See ya"

And with that he hung up. My happiness now tinged with a hint of sadness as I remembered what had happened to Eva all those years ago. As I remembered why she left in the first place. What if she didn't want to see me? No, Ashton stop. You can't assume the worst, you have to at least try.

I've been back home around a month now, me and the boys have finally finished the SLFL tour. And whilst it was awesome, it's nice to be back home for more than just a night. And to have some time to myself too. Touring is amazing, but it has no time for personal space or just having a minute to yourself. All the time I've been back though, I've been waiting for her to come home. I knew that she was on tour too, with her band Paramore. That band was so successful and we were all so proud of them for doing so well. Her family would be so proud of her. With that thought, a few loud footsteps and slamming of the door told me that the guys were here.

"Ash, that photo of Eva was amazing. She's never looked so good." Michael said as he walked into the kitchen. Shooting him a slight death glare, he soon stopped talking. He was right though, she looked incredible. Her hair was now pink, blue and black. Her figure had filled out since I last saw her, she wasn't skinny anymore. She was curvy, and absolutely beautiful. "Did you guys not know that she was coming back then?" Calum asked. We all stared at him, with confused expressions. "Well, Feldy told me that she was playing the Charity concert with us tomorrow. I assumed you guys already knew?" "WHAT?" I yelled out, surprising myself. "You mean, she'll be at the rehearsal later? When we're there?" "Well, yeah I guess so." Calum answered, unsure about how I was feeling. He wasn't the only one. I didn't know how to feel. Part of me was so excited to see her. Part of me wanted to just grab her and start laughing like we used to. The other half of me though, was terrified. What if she doesn't remember me? What if I'm a stranger to her? What if we've both changed so much that we don't get on anymore? What if, What if, What if......

*Eva's POV*

Great. All I wanted was to grab a quick coffee before rehearsals and even that means I get a pack of paparazzi following me. Oh well, I'm a pretty boring person so I'm sure they'll get bored soon. Sipping on my Gingerbread latte, I ignored all of the comments made from photographers and walked towards my car. Jumping in, I started the engine and made my down to the arena. This would be the first gig I'd played in my hometown for a few years. I've been avoiding it for a while, I don't want to be reminded of what happened anymore than I already am. I hope I made the right choice moving back here. I guess we'll see.

*FLASHBACK*

"I guess I'll see you later then, Eva. My grandparents are round so I have to run home. Make sure you get home safe, see ya!" Ashton shouted to me as he began to make the journey home. I turned around, and started to walk in the opposite direction. Ashton was one of the older guys that worked in the music studio where I practiced. His mum and mine were best friends so he always walked me part of the way home, through the more sketchy areas. When I arrived home, I was greeted with 3 police cars outside of my house. Confused, I walked up to the front door and brought my fist up to it, ready to knock for my mum to let me in. Before my fist reached the door however, a strange man dressed smartly in a suit opened it. His face looked sad, and he had a pained expression on his face. "Erm, excuse me. Where's my mum?" I asked. "Eva, I have something that I need to talk to you about." He said, as he opened the door and motioned towards the sofa. Walking in slowly I sat down, looking around to see if there was any sign of my parents. "Eva, I'm so sorry to say this. But your parents and your brother were in an accident earlier." "What? A-are they okay? Where are they? I want to see them!" "Eva, I'm sorry. But they're gone." "Gone? I don't understand. MUM? DAD? JACK? Where are you? This isn't funny anymore. MUM? DAD?" "Eva, they're not here. I'm so sorry." "Please. No. They can't be. I can't- Mummy? Daddy? Please. Please don't leave me on my own. Please"
