The soft white clouds slowly drifted across the dazzling blue sky. The warm radiation from the sun managed to find it's way through coach's clear windows. I sighed as all the memories of my childhood came rushing back to me.

"Seiko-chan~". A little six year old boy would say "let's go to the big temple and play~~" as he gently grabs a hold of my hand to lead me up the stairs. His cute maroon coloured hair would bounce around as his light emerald eyes shimmered with excitement. His chubby cheeks would always blush pink every time my parents dressed me cutely... his expressions were adorable. "Seiko-chan! I want to make a promise to you!" he said loudly when we stood right in front of the shrine. "I want you to marry me! I promise that I will grow up to be an awesome man and I promise I will come back for you!" He announced as his eyes flared with determination. "Remember this Seiko-chan! I lov-"

I was instantly brought back to reality when a hand tapped my shoulder, "Seiko~ wake uppp!" cried Yuumi, who sat behind me with Mio at her side. "I can't believe it!! We're going to the hot springs and did you know? The hot spring we're going to is located in the middle of a forest~ It has been said that it's supposed to be one of the best inns ever! And......" Yuumi immediately lowers her voice. "we might be able to see Kitasawa-sensei's...Kyaaa~~" Yuumi squealed in excitement.

Instead of telling her off... I felt my face heat up hotter than before. The image of Kyo-sensei when I accidentally walked in suddenly popped in my head. The white towel over his shoulders and the clear water that slowly dropped from his damp hair... "Omg... Shhhhh!!" I said as I attempted to cover Yuumi's mouth to prevent any other weird statements from coming out. "Come to think of it... Who was that maroon haired boy again and... what was he going to say..." I pondered.

"All students make sure you put your seatbelts on. We're going to start the journey now!" Yelled Kitasawa-sensei as all the students in my class cheered.

I glanced at Kyo-sensei... He wore a navy suit on again but this time, he wore a white tie instead.. the mature aura surrounding him made me wonder if he was actually the same person back at the flat... "Can I sit next to you Seiko-san?" said a deep voice, "ah! Y-yes.. Sure.." I stammered as I realised how close Kyo-sensei was. I felt my cheeks turn scarlet as his minty scent lingered under my nose. "OMG what are you thinking Seiko?? You sound like a perv!" I thought in panic. "Wait... Come to think of it... Who was that person who carried me? That comforting aura... Wait.." I slowly turn my head to glance at Kyo-sensei.. "No way.... It can't be..."

The loud thumping of my heart rang in my ears as I sat frozen stiff in my seat. "Hm? What's wrong?" Kyo-sensei said with the same gentle smile. I shook my head in response and stared at my lap. I felt a smirk coming from Kyo-sensei but I felt too embarrassed to look at him to make sure.

~Time skip~

Excitement filled the air as everyone jumped off the bus."We're here!!" screamed Yuumi as she examined the scene in curiosity and excitement. A sudden strong wind blew past, causing the leaves chatter and the curtain over the inn's wooden door to flap wildly. It was as though it was welcoming us. The repeated sounds of footsteps thumped against the hard stone pavement that led us past the tall wooden fence surrounding the inn. I nervously lifted the navy blue curtain and took a timid step inside the inn while Kyo-sensei talked to one of the workers. "Why can't I look at him in the eyes? Why on earth do I feel as if a hand is tightly squeezing my heart?" I questioned silently as I glanced at him.

~Time Skip~

I sighed as I walked along the rocky pavement in the Japanese stone garden. I felt very relaxed; I was away from all the loud chatters in the lounge of the inn. The whole day was very exciting: playing games, eating fresh seafood and everything... but I still feel as if I am forgetting something... I held a hand to my temple as my surroundings faded away, I felt as if my body is floating as a tiny image slowly appeared in front of me...

"Seiko-chan~ Don't go~ Don't leave me~" a young boy cried... "Eh! It's the same maroon-haired boy from before... but.. why is he crying?" I thought before I was interrupted by another young girl's voice. "Don't cry~ I-If you're crying... y-you're going to make me cry too~" Whimpered a petite girl with long black hair that was tied up in two pigtails.

"Wait... Is that... Me?" I wondered as I floated closer to the two children. "I-I... I won't cry!" shouted the young boy as he hugged the little girl. "A-and I won't let you cry either! I promised myself that I will never make you cry!" he exclaimed as he held her by both hands. "S-so... don't cry~" he said smiling even though there was tiny tears falling from his eyes. I watched as the little girl nodded.

"Let's make another promise Seiko-chan!" he said as his green eyes shone in determination. "Even though we might not be able to see each other... I promise you... that I will find you again! I will work hard and I promise you, we will meet again! So this is not a good bye!" The little boy grinned cheerfully as he stuck his pinky out. I smiled as I watched the little me grin back at him and completes the pinky promise. "It's a promise!"

The second time I blinked, I realised that I was back in the middle of a garden. "I do remember that I used to live a small town but my family had to move due to dad's work... but... why can't I remember who that little boy was?" I thought as I turned to make my way back to the inn, "I guess I was too young to remember..." I sighed. "Oh well! There's nothing wrong with lightening the mood with a good dip in the hot springs!" I thought as I stretched before making my way.

The warm condensed air wrapped around me as the peaceful sound of dripping water echoed throughout the hot spring. Hot water splashed against the large grey rocks which formed large ripples over the clear steamy water. The moon shone brightly against the dim-lit lamps that has been scattered around the hot spring area.

Warm colours painted the sky in colours of orange, pink and yellow. I sat peacefully at the edge of the hot springs as I stared dreamily at the fading clouds passing by, until I noticed something rather odd located behind a large rock in the middle of the hot spring. The water splashed angrily as I made my way closer to the unknown... thing. But little did I know, what I saw next was going change my whole life as a figure with black hair and dark green eyes emerged.
