Pancakes

"Hey Dan, can we go to Japan?" Phil asked out of nowhere while browsing Tumblr. Dan stopped walking towards the kitchen and stood frozen in the middle of the lounge, clutching his coffee mug. Phil immediately got uncomfortable.

"Just, uh... forget I mentioned it" Phil muttered as he tried to sink in the sofa crease. Shuffling his feet on the shaggy carpet. As he walked back from the kitchen a smile slowly crept onto Dan's face while he sat back down.

"Why would I want to forget it, if I actually want to go?" Dan said with a cheeky grin. Phil looked at Dan his eyes full of excitement.

"We'll also have to think about it a bit more before we decide to go or not" said Phil rising out from in between the couch cushions, he glanced at the clock it read 11:03 pm.

"Well I'm heading to bed" Phil said quietly with a yawn.

"Okay, then I'll go edit videos in my room for a bit" Dan said as his eyes reflecting the computer screen.

"Dan you should really go to bed you're obviously tired" Dan stood up his legs stiff from sitting all day.

"No I'm not" complained Dan like a toddler refusing to take a nap, while shuffling his feet on the carpet. Phil disapprovingly shook his head.

"Fine, then you can't complain tomorrow when your tired as hell."

"I won't" Dan smiled then muttered "Potty mouth"

"So your calling me a potty mouth now? Really?" Phil said skeptically

"Yup" Dan confirmed

"You cant be serious, I'm not the one that swears everyday" said Phil as he turned to Dan who was on the couch. He shrugged

"You've got a good point you know"

"I changed my mind, I'm not going to bed I'm hungry" Phil said suddenly turning towards the kitchen. Dan looked up from his computer a little shocked

"What... Phil why are you all of a sudden hungry?"

"I have no idea, I just kind of want pancakes right now" Phil shrugged

"Phil you dork" Dan snorted and continued hesitantly "I guess if you're making something, I'll have some"

"Then you'll have to help me" Phil said with a smile that could light up the whole room "Oh yeah, you better get off your lazy bum if you want to eat anything"

"Alright, alright give a sec" Dan got up off the couch, took a step toward the kitchen, and immediately doubled over in pain.

"God dammit!" He cursed under his breath, but it was still loud enough Phil to hear from the entrance of the hallway. He peeked around the corner his blue eyes tired and laced with worry.

"Dan are you alright?"

"Yeah" He groaned with pain "I just stubbed my toe, I think Im just gonna...", He turned towards the couch and fell face first into a cushion and screamed. Phil tried to stifle a laugh with very little success. Dan pushed himself off the couch and wordlessly stood up with a blank expression and a
pained look in his eye.

"I guess we should maybe not go on our computers so much" Phil suggested, they looked at each other and laughed like hell for a solid minute.

"Good one Phil" said Dan while he was crippled on the floor unable to move from hysterically laughing, he tried to get up only to fall down again with a bout of laughter. Phil rolled his eyes. He didn't think it was THAT funny, but then again Dan was probably still in pain after stubbing his toe. Phil glanced at his phone,

"11:46 already? It's pretty late for pancakes..." Phil remarked

"It is absolutely not to late for pancakes, in fact it's never to late for pancakes" said Dan as he got up and half walked half jogged to the kitchen.

"Hey Dan wait for me!" Phil ran after him.
