Ms. Bitter Becomes A Lover

Chapter 1 ("Anonymous Text Messages")

Amber's POV

"What the heck are you doing?!?" I shouted at Matthew.
"What? I was just conducting an experiment you know, like what scientists do?" Matthew said while laughing a little bit.
I just rolled my eyes and released a big sigh. Then, I heard someone came out of the room, It was Nicole.
"Matthew! What's that disgusting smell?! I can smell it through the room!" Nicole shouted too with her both hands on her waist.
"Tsss.. You girls are so sensitive." Matthew said while laughing.
"You're lucky because mom and dad is not home but if they were, you're gonna be in big trouble." I told Matthew and go straight upstairs to my room.
Matthew just ignored the both of us and continue his disgusting experiment. Nicole slammed the door of the room as if she's annoyed.

When I get inside of my room, I sat on my bed and soon I was laying on it. I looked up the empty cieling of my room and noticed a photo album up the cabinet. I used my chair to get it because I'm short. Once I get it, I brought it with me on my bed. I open few pages of it and saw a picture of me and Jenna. Suddenly, I felt tears running off my face. Ugh. This just remind me of Jenna, how we do things together, how we hang out together, and before she left me. I just couldn't believe that she's gone. Why did I lose such a great and loving sister? I continue opening few more pages and saw a picture of me cooking when I was 12 years old. Oh yes! I can remember that I used to cook when I was 12. I love cooking. It become my hobby since I was little. But now, I am not used to cook anymore but I want to. I felt a little bit happy when I saw that picture.

I put the photo album back to where it is before. I decided to take a quick shower because it's already 12:30 pm.

After I took a shower. I dressed up on my usual clothes because I have nothing else to do since I already finished all the requirements needed to be completed in school.

I decided to take a walk around the streets to keep myself busy. I grabbed my phone and plugged in my earphones to listen to some music. "Matthew, Nicole, Im going out for a walk I'll be back a while." I said. "Okay, keep safe little girl." Matthew said. I just rolled my eyes on him. "Uhhh... Don't call me "little girl" Im grown up you know." I stared at him raising my left eyebrow pretending to be angry. "Okay, fine. Just keep safe!" Matthew replied.

I finally went out our house and started to walk with my nike shoes on. After a few minutes of jogging and walking around, I felt tired and decided to stop for a little drink in that little cafe. I ordered a coffee and a donut and head to the counter to pay off. While eating my food, I get my phone and go to my social medias. I scrolled down my instagram feed and saw some of my friends hanging out together. After I finished my food, I decided to head back home since its getting late.

I was about to leave when I feel someone held me by my left shoulder.
"Hey! You're Amber, right?" I turned around and I saw sean.
"Hey, I didn't know you know my name." I answered.
"Soo... I am Sean Le-...." Sean was about to say something when someone cut him off.
"Sean! We got to go!" I heard Taylor yelled and approach us to get sean.
"Okay, so I gotta go now, I guess." I said.
"Okay, we'll meet again soon!" Sean said while walking away with his friends.

I headed home couz' it's already 5:30 pm. As I was walking by the streets, I started thinking about sean. Woah Woah Woah.. not that I like him but Im confused how did he know my name. It actually felt really wierd when I was talking to him. I dont know.

I reached our house and went directly to my room. I change on to my comfortable clothes and headed downstairs to watch TV.
Mom and Dad weren't home yet so I stayed with Matthew and Nicole on the couch.

I was watching TV, when my phone ring. I immediately check my phone and see a text message without the contact name on it.
And it says...
From: Unknown
Hey! Amber.

I wondered who could it be? Is it some kind of a prank? I write a reply...
To : Unknown
Sorry. But I don't know you.

I waited for a reply, but there's none, good thing. I just ignored it and continue watching TV.

After a few hours later (7:30 pm),

I heard a some kind of a sound of a car which signs that mom and dad were home. They quickly change to their comfortable clothes and cook our dinner. Mom cooked her famous chicken recipe and mixed fruits for dessert. I am stuffed after I ate so much food. I went upstairs to my room and sat on my little chair to burn off the food I ate. I again think of that person who texted me a while ago. Uhmm who could that be? I mean there's no contact name on it so I probably didn't know him/her. I started thinking of sean since I just met him at the cafe a while ago. Maybe, it's sean. That idea popped to my brain. Nooo!!! It couldn't be sean he didn't even know my number.
Oh, I felt a bit sleepy now. I just brushed my teeth and took a little body wash and change to my pj's and then go to bed.

Before I sleep, I recieved another text message and I checked it.. There is still no contact name so I bet its the one who texted me a while ago.
From: Unknown
Goodnight, Amber.

Ohhh.... Whatever, I'll just have to go to sleep. I didn't write a reply and finally go to sleep.
