Amber's POV

(July 1st 6:00 am)

My phone kept beeping loudly and I ushered to get up and check it.

'First Day of the Cooking Competition'

I got out from my crumpled bed and run towards the stairs downstairs. Seriously though I even have two more hours to get ready for the show but, I'm freaking out already. Maybe, just too excited?

While I am eating breakfast, I can't help but think of how will the show go on today. Will I lose and go home or win and continue? I wonder how the teams will go together and all the challenges we'll face.

"You alright?" My mom asked me.

I rubbed my eyes and shook my head slowly to snap out of my thoughts and unconciousness.

"O-of course, I am." I nodded and washed my plate on the sink.

I went upstairs to my room and turned on my laptop and speakers to play on my playlist of songs. I've got to get that vibe before I get going. I grabbed my towel and clothes. I decided to put on my khaki ripped joggers, black v-neck shirt with black high converse. I put on my usual makeup and packed my things up.

"Okay. Last thought before I go. Just keep in mind whatever happened during the show, whether you win or lose, you gotta keep doing what you do and focus." I spoke to myself as I tacked few strands of my hair behind my ear sitting on my bed.

I faced the mirror and examined my face. I look fine and simple. Alright, better be early than sorry. I should be just right in time when I get there. However, it usually takes two and a half hour to get to Sta. Monica. (loolll, let's just pretend. I ain't good at these.) I hopped on our car and plugged in my earphones. I choose to seat on the back seat near the window because I feel like it.

For the one last time, I checked my watch.

8:00 am

I wonder how Sean is going now?

Sean's POV

(July 1st 8:15 am)

"Hey, Sean. Aren't you gonna get up? You're gonna be late." Serris kept shaking me.

"Late for what?" I asked unconciously.

Serris gave me an 'are u serious' face and smirked. My forehead creased in confusion. I just couldn't get it. I kept in that position for minutes until I realized.

"Oh, shoot! It's the day of the competition." I jumped off my bed and go to the bathroom.

I grabbed my towel and clothes. I tried the faster I can to make it on time. I finally got out of the bathroom and dressed up. It's 9:00 am now, and it takes two and a half hour to Sta. Monica from Los Angeles. Oh, this is terrible.

I put on whatever I can get my hands on to wear. Eat a quick breakfast and packed my things. I checked the time, 9:10 am. I hopped on our car and my dad start driving. Will I be able to make it on time? Hopefully.

Amber's POV

We just arrived in the venue, and the place is packed up with a lot of people. Kids, chefs and parents.

Soon, the judges arrived and the host proceeded to the callout.

"Attention, contestants! The  show is about to start in just few minutes." The host announced.

Suddenly, I felt anxious because Sean is not yet around. What had gone to him? Matthew interrupted me obviously noticing my anxiousness.

"Hey, are you okay?"

"Uhmm.. Yeah. It's just that- uh- my partner is not yet around."

"Don't worry, it'll be alright. He will come."

Sean's POV

(3rd Person) It was 9:10 am when Sean left. Halfway of the time passed, and Sean is already one hour late. Good thing, the judges are just minutes late too.

"Oh really, traffic?" Sean must be completely annoyed.

Sean leaned his head on the window and placed his hand on his forehead. He pulled off his hoodie to think.

"Amber must be worrying about me now. And I don't like that." Sean muttered.

"It's fine. I'm sure the staffs will make excuses for it. And this is your fault, after all." Serris said.

"Alright, it's my fault." Sean lowered his head to a bow.

Couple of minutes passed, the traffic is finally loosened up and cleared.

"Thank God."

Amber's POV

Sean is already an hour late. I can't help to stop my anxiousness. Good thing, the show isn't starting yet because the judges are fixing some stuffs.

I was checking my phone until the host came out. He proceeded to the attendance and Sean...? still cannot be found nowhere. The host start calling our names one by one before we went inside.

"Jeanette Galbe." Still no Sean.

"Arthur Silivon." Still no Sean.

"Meaghan Brookhyl." Still no Sean.

"Kenneth Limbreu." Still no Sean.

"Amber Kelley." I raised my hand and still no sean.

"Sean Lew." The crowd filled with silence. I looked back at Matthew and he was wearing a very unconvincing smile on his face.

"Ms. Kelley, seems that your partner's not here but the show must go on. Due to that, we have to replace him with Luis Orteg-" Luis was about to walk in when someone cut him off.

"I'm here!! I'm present!" It was Sean. He made it.

Though, I didn't notice that I was smiling.

He was breathing heavily and I can't stop noticing his cuteness. He walked beside me and we met each other's glance. I averted my gaze towards the host and took a deep breath.

"Alright, I'm so sorry Luis. And now, we are finally complete and let's start the show!" We walked in towards the big door of what I guess is the kitchen.

"Hey."

"Hey."

"Look, I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"For making you wait and worry about me."

"It's fine. And it's not that serious. Come on." I chuckled.

The host introduced the judges and how'd we start the show. He explained the challenges and we started the show. We get at our own counters to start cooking for our first challenge. Sean was on the left side of the counter and I was on the right side to make up both teams.

Sean took a glance on me and so I did too.

"Goodluck, Kelley."

"Goodluck, LewLew"
