Standing endless watch under night skies
And desert shore border imagination,
Euphratian mother's banks swell to cover lies,
To sweeten the willing damnation.
The desert shores bore the imagination:
Senses dulled by endless waves
That sweeten the willing's damnation-
As hollow words ensnare the brave.
Senses dulled by endless waves,
Contemplating innocence in paradise lost;
And still hollow words ensnare the brave-
The casualties, the gnashing of teeth, the cost.
Contemplating innocence in paradise lost,
The depth of Two Fathoms, and Marx,
The casualties, the gnashing of teeth, and the cost
As I stand endless watch under the desert sky.
