The next day was basically the same procedure as every other day, with the run in the morning and everything the only thing that was slightly different was the fact that, my mom said that we were having guests over for dinner.

She said this to me as I was eating the bacon sandwich I had made myself, whilst Greg was eating his fruit loops. She was beaming as she mentioned it and starting to sort things out already, grapping a pot to put a big slab of gammon in to cook off the salt then to put into the oven a while later to roast until it was nice and tender.

Not being one to complain about anything that involved food I grinned back at her and shoved the rest of my sandwich into my mouth before leaping out of my car and grabbing my keys off the table.

I basically hopped over to my mum and gave her a hug before running out the door and to my car. Jumping in I revelled at the smell and feel of the interior. Loving every single moment while in it.

I stuck the key in and started up the engine, not bothering to turn on the heating because werewolves hardly ever got cold.

I took my time driving to school going down the familiar route at a leisurely pace just enjoying the feel of my new car.

Arriving at the school ten minutes later I hopped out and went over to the gates of the school leaning against them I closed my eyes basking in the dim December sun.

“Tala!” I jumped as Kalia yelled in my ear shaking my shoulders, “There is a new family moving in today!” She smiled manically before saying, “They have a son, he’s our age” I was shocked at how she knew this before even meeting said family.

We started walking slowly into the school and over to our lockers, some people said hi as we walked past and we returned it with either a hi, nod or grin at the person that said it. There are some pluses of being nice you see.

The day was basically the same as the day before, except it seemed everybody’s main topic of conversation was the new family coming, By listening to everyone you could hear a lot of rumours most of which would probably turn out to be false, unless they were super secret agents, as I heard from a girl talking to her friends in the corridor.

After the day was over I was just glad to go home and flop down on the settee with a cup of really sugary coffee, in my eyes that’s the only way to drink it.

I noticed on the coffee table a not to me that reminded me of the fact that we were having guests later on that evening.

At the sight of that I went up the stairs and got my second shower of the day, and washed my hair again, coming out of the shower I went straight to my chest of drawers and put on clean underwear. Before going over to the closet to grab a pair of acid washed skinny jeans and a pink top with pink high tops.

I dried my hair and curled it so it was falling loosely around my face, and outlined my eyes lightly with eyeliner just to make them really pop.

Looking at myself in the mirror I was satisfied and so headed down to help my mom who had came in while I was in the shower.

Soon enough Greg and Father arrived home and got cleaned up all ready for the guests coming over, Just about everything was ready by the time the doorbell went, mother sent Greg to go an open it and bring the guests through to the dining room.

I could smell immediately that the people were not people that I knew and that put me on edge a little because I was absolutely clueless about who was in our home, the only thing that I was sure about was that they were all shifters and that there was four of them.

I walked past my mother and into the dining room to check out who was there, and found a Man of around about 45 standing with was seemed to be him wife who looked to be about the same age. Looking past them there was a little girl who couldn’t have been any more than eight years of age. And then my eyes clapped onto him, a lean physique but slightly muscled boy of what seemed to be the same age as me, With black hair falling into his leaf green eyes, a straight nose and full lips. He was probably the hottest person I had ever seen.

He glanced up and our eyes met, he smirked as if to say ‘like what you see?’ if that was the case then yes I very much did like what I saw.

I turned away quickly before feeling my cheeks becoming red at him catching me looking at him. His parents noticed I was in the room and began to greet me.

“Hello, I’m Ivy Thorn, and this is my husband Phillip,” She gestured to him as she said it. And stepped forward to shake my hand.

“Hey, I’m Tala, its wonderful to meet you,” I smiled at them all.

“Jason, but you can call me Jace, everybody does,” the boy said smirking at me again. I returned his smirk with one of my own.

I leaned down in front of the young girl. “And what’s your name sweetie?”

She looked up shyly at me and replied “Ink,” Then looked straight back down at the ground again.

“That’s a beautiful name sweetie, for a cute little girl,” I smiled brightly at her resulting in her smiling right back at me.

My mother walked in at that moment “Ah, Phillip, Ivy its lovely to see you again, and Jace you’ve grown so much since the last time I saw you!” My mom smiled and looked around at everyone, Before setting down the large plate she held that was covered In tinfoil

She gestured for me to follow her into the kitchen to help her bring in the many plates of food, I walked in after her and grabbed the first four that came to my hands, I always knew working as a waitress during the summer would pay off.

I entered the dining room again and set the dishes of steaming food into the middle of the table.

All the while trying to avoid Jace’s gaze which I could feel as though it was burning a hole right through my back.

Sorry its late guys just got a bit caught up due to school and the like.

Anyway happy new year J
