Doesn't everyone have that song that just "speaks" to them? I am pretty sure it is a thing. The power of words amazes me. Not just in songs but also in books or speeches.
The words of a powerful leader can inspire an entire country. They can mend the broken, or even be the most hurtful thing in the world. "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words won't hurt me" is not always necessarily correct.
Words from an innocent child could be memorable forever. Those words could have meant one thing to the child but we interpret in our own way. It is all in however the listener wants to hear it. However they feel they need to hear it.
A friend could tell me something normal to them but it could impact me so I never forget what was said. For example: "Yellow is not really a good color for people in general." I now never wear yellow unless it is necessary.
Words in songs can make you feel emotions you didn't know you were feeling. Make your chest beat with excitement or your eyes cry like rain from clouds. A go-to song to make you feel better.
Not everyone is the same, obviously, to how words affect them. When reading books, some will cry and some will not. Books build up your emotions towards the characters and can create love for them. A death or plot twist can put the reader on cloud-9 or laying on their bed crying.
I recently read a book that had shown me how much I was connected to it. The author had chosen their words so well that when sad parts were read, they were also beautiful. They made me mad that characters had to die but also created a beautifully put together scene.
It is truly a talent to be able to use words to create emotions. I am extremely impressed by those who can use their words in any form: songs, books, magazines, or any other ways. To use a talent as special as that should be an honor and used. When you can use your words in such a way you can inspire others.
When I read my words they do not say anything special to me but maybe they mean something special to someone else. It does not matter what I want my words to mean, someone will always think of them from their perspective. I'm hoping someday my words can mean something to somebody. Words run the world.
