Vanessa's POV
A nagging sound was heard in the distance, turning left and right to see if I could make the sound disappear but regardless I got up and turned off my alarm I felt hurt then nothing at all as if yesterday was a dream and not reality. I didn't remember falling asleep but all I knew was that I didn't sleep very well. I stood up from my bed and headed to the bathroom as I started at my reflection I felt like nothing was in place anymore, just as if the floor wasn't steady anymore and I had to be careful where I stepped. I wasn't going to give up and let him win he hurt me and I wasn't going to let him see that.
I had a home and a great job I had things too looks forward too. My reflection didn't show anything good but I held my head high and fixed the mess of hair and my red puffy eyes from crying myself to sleep. I got in my shower did my morning routine and got ready for work black high heels and brown skirt paired with a black blouse I usually put my hair up in a tight bun but today I felt like letting it down I did my makeup and headed to work. As I walked in I grabbed my daily planer ready to start the day walking into mr. rays office I noticed the light where off I walked in deeper into the office and saw a note "won't be coming to the office till later had an emergency" it was strange because mr.ray usually informed me through the phone. I let I pass and continue my work until it was almost time to go home is then I found it strange that mr.Ray never showed up and I was grateful for it I don't have the energy for anything all I wanted to do was go to bed and forget the world.
