Somehow, this action of romance has allowed the frustration to subside. No longer was iit in my mind. After a few seconds, we drew apart gasping for air.  Coal shot a warm, charming smile at me, making my heart race and pound against my ribcage.

I parted my lips to speak, but, the words remained lodged in my throat, inturrupted by Rose's calls for my assistance.  A small frown pulled on Coal's face as my name echoed throughout the hallway.  "I'm... sorry. I must go," I stammered, still affected by the feeling of his lips lingering on mine.

Ever- so- softly, he released my hand, a sign of permission to attend to his sibling.  Softly, I pulled my hand away, making my way down the hallway, analyzing the fancy interior.  "Tristen!!" Rose screeched, making me take off into a jog. She sounded as if she was going to have a daily tantrum.

I rushed into her bedroom, only to see Rose sitting on her fluffy white bedsheet.  "Yes, mi'lady?" I said politely.  " You're so late! Will you ever be on time?" she sneered.  "I'm sorry mi'lady... I was occupied. You see, I have my cousin over, and -" I was cut off by Rose's scoff. I swear, she's as bad as Laura...

"I don't want to hear it, Tristen," she said, rolling her emerald optics. "Just... please get my outfit ready..." she continued with a sigh.  "As you wish, mi'lady..." I replied softly, starting to search through her wardrobe.

I pulled out a snowy-white gown and a corset, which she automatically aproved. She dressed herself and allowed me to style her hair.  I quickly pulled her hair into a long, tight braid which went around her shoulder.

"Today I am going horse back riding with my father,"  Rose announced.  "While I'm gone, you must wash my clothes and tidy up my room."  I sighed staring at the floor, trying not to make eye contact. "Yes, mi'lady."  Rose left the room in a hurry.  I gathered the dirty articles of clothing off of her bedroom floor, and placed them in a basket.

I hurried to the wash room and began cleaning Rose's clothes.  I began thinking of my kiss with Coal.  I began to feel his lips pressing against mine again. I need to stop, I can't just sit here and wirry about just one kiss. It was just a kiss nothing more than that. Or was it? Maybe it was more than a kiss. No, it can't be, it wasn't.  At that moment, someone tapped my shoulder. I spun around on the backs of my heels to see Coal's beautiful emerald green eyes. My lips immediatly curled into a smile. "Yes?" I said gentley.  "Yes? All I get is a yes?" I giggled at his comment and turned back around continuing on my work. "You catch on so fast." I said purposly trying to tick him off.  "That's not how you're suposed to be treating me miss."  I laughed at his comment. "And why is that?"

"Well, well,"  He stammered.  Catching on to my joke he answered, "Because you love me."  I spun around so fast, I nearly fell. "Excuse me?" His face lit up, I knew this was what he wanted, but I just couldn't get what he said out of my mind. "You heard me. I know you have feelings for me."  I took a deep breath, looking for something to say, but nothing came.  "See, you have nothing to say, meaning you love me."  My face flushed red. "That means nothing."  Coal giggled. "You don't have to get all angry with me."  My anger subsided and I calmed myself down. "I'm sorry, I just,"  "Am still shaken up and confused about what happened earlier? Don't worry, I am too."  My face lit up.  "Look, I must get back to work, why not come to my place later for supper or something?"  Coal smiled and replied, "I would love to."  He kissed me on my cheek and walked away, leaving me in awe.

After a few minutes, I got my act together and continued on my work.  By the time I was finished, Rose entered her room, throwing her cloak, shoes, tights and corset on the ground.  Without question, Impicked up the garments and placed them in a basket. I left the room in silence.
