I got home late that evening.  Once I walked in the door, it was madness.  Laura was still in the house, and causing even for problems.  "Dammit Laura." Mum roared.  "Just shut the hell up and get out of my sight."  Mum headed to her room. I could hear the click of the lock to her door.  "What'd you do this time?" I said taking off my shoes and pulling my hair out of my braid.  "Like always, nothing." I laughed at her then headed to my room before Laura had anything to do about it.

I entered my room to find Saphire and another owl perched on my bed rail.  I walked up to them and gathered the letters.  The other owl flew out of my window once I retrieved the letter.  I opened that one first because I was very intrigued by it.  I pulled the peice of parchment out of the envelope and unfolded it.  I read the signiture first just to find out who it was.  I smiled when I found out who the sender of thie letter was, it was Coal.  I quickly read his letter, which stated that he wanted to come over for dinner tomorrow and meet my family.  I rolled my eyes and sighed. Why now, I haven't even tolled my mother about him. I layed the letter on my bedstand and opened the other letter.  Too lazy to read it, I figured out who sent then gave it to mum.  "Mum, Bore sent a reply letter."  She opened the door, snatched the letter out my hands then re-entered her room and closed the door in my face. "Thanks" I heard her say.  I went back to my room and flopped on the bed.  Just then, Guy entered my room. "Tristen, Meygan is here."  I rolled off my bed onto the floor. I struggled getting up but I eventually did.  I went to the kitchen to see Meygan and Laura arguing. They don't even know each other, how could this happen so fast?  At that moment, Laura rushed to the guest's room in a huff. "Before you say it, I did nothing." Meygan said quickly. "Oh, I know." I replied. "So, what are you doing here?" I questioned.  "I was bored and had nothing to do."  I giggled at her reply. "So, how's the whole Coal thing going?" I didn't know how to answer her. Should I tell her about the kiss or not? I was confused. "So?" I snapped out of my daze.  "Oh, that. Well, you see."  My cheeks turned blood red. "We kissed." I said in a whisper. "You what?!" Meygan yelled. "Shut up it isn't that big of a deal."  I lied.  "Not that big of a deal!? Tristen this is a huge deal!"  Sweat dripped off my face. "Look, to me is wasn't. I'm going to bed." I said walking up to my room.

I don't know what to do anymore, nothing makes sense. I have this pit in my stomach, my head hurts. What do I do? How do I react to all this?  What's going to happen now?  I fell asleep asking myself these questions. As for Meygan, I'm hoping that she went home, but she's not bothering me so I don't care.

I woke up in the dead of night from a nightmare.  In the nightmare, I was running, running through a dark forest.  Someone was chasing me, I didn't know who.  For some odd reason I was dressed in armour and was weilding a sword.  In the end, I was cut through by the mysterious figure.  After I woke up, I couldn't fall back asleep, my body just wouldn't let me.

After a long restless night, I started my day by taking a walk through town, just to take my mind off of things.  It started out well, until I bumped into Coal on my way to the lake.  "Tristen, what are you doing here?" He said casually.  My hands felt clammy, my headache returned.  "I am just taking a walk, is that so wrong?"  My voice was shakey, what was this, this feeling.  "I guess not. Look, Tristen.  Something's up, I see it in your eyes.  What's wrong?"  I was trembling. What was going on?  "Nothing," I lied. "Stop lying."  My eyes shot open. I..I wasn't...."  "Yeah you are, look it's okay.  I am confused about what happened as well."  I then heard someone calling for Coal out in the distant.  "That's your father, isn't it?"  Coal nodded.  "Then go. If he finds you with me, he will..."  "I'm not going to let him hurt you, I promise."  He once agin wrapped his fingers around mine and reached into kiss me.  The distant calls got closer, but I couldn't draw away, my body would't let me.

Just then, Coal's father found us, in the middle of our kiss.  "Coal! What the hell do you think you are doing?!"  We quickly drew away.  "You?! You're that servent girl! What do you think you are doing kissing my son like that! Answer me!" I was breathing heavy. Beads of sweat dripping down my face. "I..I..I"  I studdered like a fool.  Snap out of it, just answer him truthfully and... "Dad, she had nothing to do with this, it was all me."  I looked at Coal in shock.  "Coal, you are young and stupid so I will not inflict punisment upon you, but she..."  I knew it, he was about to kill me for my actions, I could see it.  "She just went along with it, I leaned in first, and..." "She could have drwn away but she didn't!"  He was right I could've.  "I don't see why I don't kill her right now!"  "Father, don't please, I love her. I can't do anyhting about those feelings."  Coal.. "I will let her go this time, but I better not see you two together ever again." At that note the king left us.  I was trembling even more now.  I was breathing even harder.  "Tristen, are you okay?"  Tears rolled down my cheeks. "I don't know."  Coal grabbed my hand and looked into my eyes.  "I'm not going to let him hurt you. Now I must go, but I will see you again. No matter what my father says."  He kissed my cheek.  "And earlier I ment what I said, I truely do love you."  He then hurried after his father, leaving me, once agian, in awe.
