The Return of the Titans (Attack on Titan fanfic)

"Come on Meaki!!" cried Tonu, his face red from running. I sped up wth him as we skirted the streets and ran into the crowd. We moved to the front of the crowd and watched as they entered."Look Meki! There they are! the Survey Corps!" his face twisted in wonder. I looked down the road and sure enough, here came the Survey Corps back from their expedition of the outside world. Looking more closely at them, i noticed how beaten down they looked. So many of them weren't with the return group and others returning hadn't been left unscathed. Leading the group was Captain Levi and Hanji whom were the only ones who looked fine.

I turned my focus behind the crowd at saw my brother Tonu's and my friends, Eren Jaeger and Mikasa Ackerman. "Eren! Mikasa!" I yelled as I grabbed Tonu's hand and jogged over to them. They looked our way and brightened."Hey, Meaki." Eren said cheerfully and Mikasa waved."Did you guys see the return group?!" Tonu said excitedly,"I mean, of course you did, they just passed, but did you see them? like really REALLY see them? I wonder what they've seen! what do you-"

"Tonu.Shut up." I said and smacked the back of his head.

"Ow! oh, sorry."

I rolled my eyes at him and the four of us watched the rest of the return group walk by. "I wonder if the titans will ever breach Wall Maria again.." Tonu muttered dreamily.

"They won't" said a voice and all four of us spun on our heels only to find Armin. "They haven't breached the walls in a hundred years. So why would they now?" All of us looked at him and he leaned against a wall.

Eren looked up at the spiraling clouds in the sky. "Well, they might. But all I want is an adventure." Suddenly a crash of thunder sounded off and huge bolts of lightning hit the ground and shook the earth. Villagers all around us looked up in wonder. A giant, flesh stripped hand gripped wall Maria and out of the billowing smoke, appeared the face of a flesh-less titan.

Armin just gaped at his jinx. "COLOSSAL TITAN!!" people screamed but frozen in place. The Colossal Titan looked down at Trost and wall Maria was breached. Huge chunks of rock that had been part of Wall Maria moments before, were now crushing villagers and buildings. Blood flowed from under rocks, shining like new velvet. "My house is over there.." Eren bursted and broke into a sprint.Mikasa ran after him and I began to walk after them, but Tonu gripped my shoulder and we faced Armin."It's all my fault!" Armin screamed and pulled on his blonde hair. "I JINXED US AND NOW WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE BECAUSE O-" he didn't finished his sentence.I had slapped him across the face with the back of my hand and he cringed onto stone paved ground.

"Get a hold of yourself Armin!! You didn't jinx us you just have terrible timing for saying things!!"

Tonu gaped at me then in the direction of our home. "Meaki... Our house.." I slowly turned from Armin and looked. Three large titans with grins like toddlers stood over our home."OUR FAMILY!!!! HURRY MEAKI!!" Tonu yanked on my wrist and we were off. I just prayed that Armin had enough sense to get away from here. We ran past women and men dying of dead and shiny red blood splatters decorated everything. We reached our house and raced inside only to find our father, smaller sister and brother hiding behind a cupboard. Father signaled us over to hide. And just as we did, a titan with dark brown eyes and a large smile peered through the window looking for a meal.

We stared in fear as it's large eye scanned the room.It's eye swung to our hiding spot and a giant hand broke through the building wall. Tonu and I lashed out the way and hit the opposite wall while our little siblings were no where to be seen. "Children, run!..." Father was strewn across the cupboard and blood trickled from his mouth, holding the place where his leg had been just seconds before. I staggered to the hole and watched in horror as the titan gleefully held my siblings in his stained hand."NOOOOO!! NOOOO!! ET US OO!!" my five year old sister said while trying to shake her brother awake. But he simply fell limply with each shove. Then titan opened its mouth and- Tonu had stood beside me and was stained in red blots. I looked at myself and My sisters blood dripped against my white dress. "TIKA!!" Tonu screamed up at the titan and swore profusely. The titan reached out toward us and- wham! In a flash of green the titan fell face forward and the other two did as well. Then, a figure stood in front if us. His eyes seemed completely unimpressed by the kill he had just done."Why are you here? And not there?" He pointed to the ships loading people to get out of Trost.

"WE JU-" Tonu started but the black haired man stated plainly "Your safety is priority.Go.Now." He pointed to the ships again, "Go, now before more come." The man swung out of sight and we raced to the loading ships.
