Meaki's P.O.V.

Later that day, soldiers of the Garrison had taken custody of Eren, with Mikasa and Armin accompanying him to God knows where. As two soldiers had been hauling away Eren, Tonu had charged and tackled one of the guards, nearly beating him to death. Another soldier had rushed over and knocked Tonu out cold. As for the rest of us, we had been sent back to Headquarters, to re-call the events of the day. I wasn't about to leave my brother behind, so I sneaked away from the group as a Garrison officer told us commands to find him.

The Garrison had placed Eren between a stone wall and cannons pointed at him in every angle. Mikasa and Armin stood in front of him in a form that screamed 'back-off'and a worn, older looking HeadMaster stood at the lead of the Garrison, staring at Eren in terror and disgust. Looking around the crowd, I spotted Tonu tied to a wooden pole, staring at the HeadMaster with rage, fire twinkling in his eyes.

As I slowly made my way towards my brother, the Headmaster started to speak at the three trainees grouped together. "You There!" He pointed a sharp finger at Eren, " Are you in league with the titans?!" Eren stood up slowly, placing a hand on Armin shoulder to steady himself. "No."

"Then have did you turn into one of them?! Don't lie to us! We have eye witnesses that saw you!"

"I don't know what you're talking about-"

"YOU TURNED INTO ONE OF THOSE THINGS! ADMIT THAT YOU'RE IN LEAGUE WITH THE TITANS!" The HeadMaster shook with rage. "NOW, OR WE WILL SHOOT!"

"Enough!" Mikasa shouted, "Eren didn't even know what he was doing! If-"

"SILENCE!!" Headmaster screeched, "YOU TWO ARE IN LEAGUE WITH HIM, AREN'T YOU?!"

Eren look appalled. "They aren-"

"FIRE THE CANNON."

Headmaster signaled with his hand to a cannon above to fire and it went off, smoke filling the air around it. Everything seemed to go in slow motion, the cannon ball hurtling at my friends, Eren getting in front of Mikasa and Armin as he bit his hand, and then, the ground shook. where the three trainees had stood was half of a giant skeleton, with it's arm raised defensively in the direction of the cannon. Steam swam around it like water. At that point, it seemed that everyone had gasped in the clearing had gasped in a mixture of amazement and horror.

As frightened officers gawked at the skeleton, I took this as my chance. I made my way through the crowd towards Tonu, occasionally glancing at the stiff eyes of people around me.When I reached my brother, who hadn't noticed me yet, I realized that there were no guards guarding him. Convenient. I whistled lowly, a three note whistle only Tonu and our family had known and his head shot up at the sound, wildly looking around until he saw me.

His eyes seemed to scream at me, What are you doing here?!
