Fate has never been kind to me, the last person I ever loved, a century ago, was taken away just how Wonwoo is taken away from me right now, I can't help but feel betrayed, as if fate is really torturing me, letting me taste a bit of paradise and then drag me down to hell.

"Mingyu" Im Nayoung, her face covered with blood.

It was a week of searching for Nayoung and I found her with the council. They kidnapped her, back then, vampires are not allowed to marry humans, and Nayoung was a human and I married her secretly, when the council found out, a pest like me, a nothing but a converted vampire, married a human, they took her away from me and killed her in front of my eyes.

I can't let them do the same to Wonwoo.

"MINGYU" Seungcheol hyung's voice startled me.

"H-hyung" I woke up with wet clothes, I was sweating so bad, I sat up, it was a dream. Nayoung...

"The council called for a meeting" he told me, I clutched my chest, no, it's impossible, the council changed, they vowed to never hurt humans again.

"W-why? Is it about Wonwoo?" I asked him, he shrugged

"No one knows, you, me, and the two youngest will come, Hansol, Jun and Minghao will watch Jisoo, get up, we have to go to Busan" he told me, I nodded, I saw Yuju sleeping on a chair in Jisoo hyung's room, there was a little color back, but he still looked pale.

Jeonghan hyung smiled slightly, watching his lover, I know how he feels, I walked to him. "I will find Wonwoo and bring him back here" I told Jeonghan hyung and he nodded, I gave him a tight hug that triggered his sobs. "I will do anything to save him" he sobbed, I nodded and kissed his forehead, stay strong Jeonghan hyung, I will stay strong too. Seungcheol hyung and the two packed their bags, we're going back to the vampire city.

We went to the car, Seungcheol hyung driving, we didn't use the highway of Seoul, we went down to the secret passages for vampires, they only open the passages for vampires when there's an emergency on the main city, and it seems like there's an emergency for sure. Seungcheol hyung sighed for the nth time while driving, the other two on the backseat were quiet, feeling the tension as well.

"It''ll be okay" Seungcheol hyung smiled to them.

The whole ride took three hours, there was a traffic, it seems like vampires from all over the Korean peninsula are called, yes, North Korean vampires exists, they are like us, we don't have problems with them though, I was holding on to my seatbelt, anxiety killing my sanity. Soon, we saw the sign board, we have arrived. The main building was crowded, the arena was being filled, it was never used on meetings, it fits the whole vampire population of the peninsula, only used for Vampyric Olympics. But now, a meeting, for a meeting, it will be held in the arena. Seungcheol hyung parked his car and the moment he stepped out of the park, everyone bowed to him and made a way for him to enter, us following behind.

"Kim Mingyu" old man Jose called me, a vampire from Spain who moved here, the creature who killed Nayoung, he smiled softly, I just bowed at him emotionlessly.

"Master Choi! We apologize for the traffic" the president of Transport Department bowed, Seungcheol hyung shook his head and sat with the council members, they were whispering, we sat on the front row.

"Silence" the head councillor shouted and everyone went silent.

"We have held this meeting to announce and welcome a new family member" he told everyone, we all exchanged looks, why hold a meeting for a new vampire?

Even Seungcheol hyung looked dumbfounded, I looked at the crowd and saw Hyungwon's clan, he also looked at me and gave me a confused look as well. Even Sowon noona's clan looked confused as me. "From the ancient clan of No, the purebloods from the south, the great Master No, No Yoonho" he announced, shit, Yoonho is a pure blood? Shit. I should have known, Wonwoo...

Yoonho entered from the two doors with another person who was hugging his arm, like a puppy, Seungcheol hyung's eyes widened, so was Hyungwon's, I stood up and squinted my eyes to confirm, that's my Wonwoo. MY FUCKING JEON WONWOO.

"Wonwoo!" I shouted, I felt relief wash over my body, Wonwoo is alive, he looked at me, wait, his eyes are light brown, the dark orbs I loved are gone...

"What the fuck did you do to my Wonwoo?" I walked to him, I can feel my body heat up in anger.

"Mingyu, Mingyu stay back" Seungcheol hyung quickly got up and stopped me "Wonwoo is under his control, the No clan is known for their manipulation skills"

"Won...why?" I balled my fists, stopping myself from attacking.

No Yoonho smiled innocently, he held Wonwoo's hand, I can't take it, I pushed Seungcheol hyung away and was about to hit him when Wonwoo stood in front of me "Don't hurt Master No, hurt me instead" his voice sounded lifeless, just plain deep, no emotion at all. "Wonwoo, fight it, please Wonwoo"" I held his shoulders and shook him. "Kim Mingyu, I order you to stop!" Yoonho ordered me, for some reason, my hands froze, Wonwoo stepped backwards and hugged Yoonho, like a child who just saw a ghost.

"S-Seungcheol h-hyung" I looked at Cheol hyung who shook his head.

"Choi Seungcheol, I order you to kill the head council" he smirked and his eyes turned red.

"No, I'm a pure blood, you can't manipulate me" Cheol hyung smiled.

"Oh, okay, I will kill this human then" he wrapped his filthy hands on Wonwoo's neck.

"NO!"

Everyone was silent, this pure blood's power is no joke. "Kim Mingyu, if I kill the council, our race will be extinct, Stop being selfish and let him kill the boy! It's one death over a thousand" Cheol hyung pulled my collar, I can't believe he can say such things. "WHAT THE FUCK. WONWOO IS SPECIAL. YOU KNOW THAT" I pushed him off me, I was panting out of anger when I heard a small cry, I turned around to see Yoonho tightening his grip on Wonwoo's neck.

"Wonwoo, fight it" I mumbled, walking to the table of the council leaders.

"KIM MINGYU YOU IDIOT" Seungcheol hyung shouted, he was about to attack me when Yoonho released Wonwoo and kicked Seungcheol hyung.

I quickly ran to Wonwoo who was coughing, I knelt to him and cupped his cheeks, those dark orbs, I can see the dark orbs, "Wonwoo, it's Mingyu, I'll save you, Mingyu is here, it will be alright baby" I hugged him, his wide eyes looked torn, he's fighting, it's a good sign. I was finally able to smile when something knocked my head with a blow, making me lose my grip on reality, turning the world to pitch black.
