"Ella?" I asked in surprise. "Hello Onalie." She sneered.
"What are you doing-?"
"Hey Baby who was at the....... Oh, Ella." Drew said slowly as he walked down the stairs. "Hello Andrew." She said. He nodded at her and kissed my cheek before going out back. "What are you doing here?" I asked.
"What? I can't come and see my youngest daughter? She is having my first grandchild after all, is that so wrong of me?" She pouted. "Yes, I know you Ella and you aren't like that."
She chuckled as she glared at me. "I always knew you were the bad one of the group." She said. "The bad one?" I asked. "Really Ella? Is that what you came here to do?" I asked. "You have ruined my family name! Did you know that?" She asked.
"You're grandparents are so disappointed in your life choices." She said shaking her head. "My 'grandparents' didn't want anything to do with me anyways!" I snapped. "Because look at you!" She screamed.
"Always needing attention huh?" She yelled. "Dying your hair, stretching your ears, listening to that devil worshiping music-"
"I had just enough attention in high school! I got bullied every single day of my senior and junior year, for being 'different', for being smart, for being the youngest girl in twelfth grade! I came home with black eyes and bloody noses but you never realized, because you had your head shoved so far up your ass that you couldn't pay any mind to anything as long as it didn't ruin you fucking reputation!" I yelled in frustration.
"You were always smiling and happy! You had a boyfriend; you had friends how could I know if anything was wrong?"
"Did you ask me? Did you even bother to check on me in the night as I cried myself to sleep every single night?" I roared. "You- you- God! I can't even think of what to say to you! You came here to put me in my place for running out of your expectations? But guess what, I'm just meeting up to mine. Fuck your pathetic and catty expectations Ella. I'm finally happy with my life-"
"How can you be happy?" She screeched. "How can you possibly be happy with all of these freaks? Blue hair, dread locks, tattoos and steroids. How could you possibly be happy around these people without fearing for your life?"
"They are my family, and family loves you no matter what." I said simply. "Why couldn't you be like your sister?" She yelled in my face. "You mean a carbon copy of you?" I asked. "You could have been successful Onalie if you just went on the road she took." She reasoned. "And be even more miserable than I was? If I didn't do what I do, I would. never have met the love of my life, I wouldn't have the best thing in the world happening within three months, I wouldn't be living in my dream home and my dream job would have never happened."
"Dreams?" She scoffed. "This is your dream here? How can this be your dream? It's puny, pathetic and cheap." She muttered. "It's my home and I'd appreciate you getting the fuck out of it!" I seethed. "You can't do that! I'm your mother, and that things grandmother." She squeaked. "Not as long as I have a say. He will not know who you are unless it's the story that scares him into bed. My son will never know the feelings I did when I was growing up, he will not know what neglect feels like because it will never happen. And besides, Lauren was more of a mother to me than you were."
"How could you say that?" She screeched. "Just like I did, Lauren taught me how to be strong while you sat on the side lines with a fake applause-" A loud slap sound echoed through the house as a burning sensation blossomed in my cheek.
"Now you have gone too far Onalie." She said. "I was good to you. I gave you a house, food and money! What else could you have wanted?" She yelled. I adjusted my stinging jaw and glared at her. "What about a caring mother, oh I did have that." I said. She smiled in triumph. "Lauren." He jaw dropped. "A welcoming home, oh I had that too." She raised her brows with a smirk. "Dad and Lauren." She was getting mad and I knew I was playing a dangerous game. "What about an accepting parent, a proud parent- oh yeah Dad!" I screamed. She slapped my other cheek and smacked my stomach with her purse. I clench my teeth as hard as I was clenching my fist and wound back my arm back. I popped her in the nose as hard as I could, unfortunately I didn't break it but it was bleeding. "Get out of my house before I call the cops!" I yelled as I cradled my stomach.
