"Tomo! Let's go! We're going to the park next!" Mami was all excited as they went around the town. It was Saturday and Tomo's with them again.
"Hey, don't run! We'll get there!" Haruna shouted at the two who's up ahead of them now.
"Yosh! Let's ride the Ferris wheel next!" Tomo said to the others. "What Ferris wheel? We're going in the park." Haruna corrected Tomo.
"Really? But I want to ride a ferris wheel!" Tomo said cheerfully as she looked at Haru. Rina only laughed at them.
A month and a half has already passed when that incident happened. Tomo's mother decided to take weekends off her work and stay at her grandma's house. It left Tomo with free weekends. Finally, she could come out with the girls.
But even if Tomo's being cheerful, she still couldn't forget about the incident she made with her grandma. Tomo loves her grandma so much and couldn't bear the thought that she let her fall. Her mother told her that she can't be blamed since she's also tired and it was already late that time.
She still visits her on weekends but not recently. Their band is so busy preparing for the upcoming school festival and she will often go home late. Today, they are having a break so they agreed to go out and have some fun.
Even so, Tomo couldn't help but think after what her mother said to her a few days back. Suddenly, her grandma's condition is getting worse. She has no appetite to eat anymore and her insomnia is increasing. Most of the time, she would just stare blankly on everything and she was unable to respond to people around her now. Tomomi's mother told her that she lost the ability to walk, talk and care for herself. The family started deciding to send her to the foster home but they still considering a lot of things.
"Tomo? What are you doing?" Rina asked her as she noticed her stopped on her tracks, deep in thought.
"Nothing. I just remembered something." She smiled back and started walking again.
Her phone suddenly rang. Grabbing it from her pocket, she saw that it is her mother.
"Wait a minute guys. My mom's calling." She held her phone for them to see and they've nodded. She walked away from them before answering.
"Hello mom." Tomomi said.
"Tomomi! Where are you right now?" Her mom, as she could hear from the other side, was out of breath. She could hear some distant radio or a paging announcement somewhere in the background.
"I'm going to the park with the girls. What is it?" She asked.
"Your grandma suddenly collapsed. I-I didn't know what to do. Your aunt went to the city and I can't get hold of them. I am at the hospital right now. Can you come here right now?" She could hear her mother's voice full of worry. Petrified from what she heard, she only managed to make a small reply and placed her phone back to her pocket. Still shocked, she went to where the girls are. Noticing something's wrong, the three questioned her.
"Is everything alright Tomo?" Haruna asked in concern to her friend.
"I-I need to go now." Tomomi only answered. Her voice is starting to break too. She doesn't know what to do and looked confused.
"Tomo? It's alright, tell us what happened." Mami asked as she sees her friend losing it.
"My..My grandma. S-she's in the hospital right now." Tomomi responded with a blank stare in her eyes. She was about to cry. The three only looked at each other and doesn't know what to do next.
Rina was the only one who moved. She held her arm and started walking. Mami and Haruna only followed without saying anything.
"R-Rina?" Tomomi only asked. "You're grandma is in the hospital right Tomo? We're going." She smiled at her and to the two who tapped her shoulders. This lifted her mood so much. She's very thankful that her friends are with her in a time like this.
