– Prologue –
“Waah!!! SCANDAL! SCANDAL! SCANDAL!”
It was a warm feeling, for a crowd of people to chant the band’s name. Everywhere they’ve looked, emotions welling up to the members. It was after all their dream to stand on a stage and now it all came true.
Two and a half hours since they’ve started the concert, it now comes to its conclusion. This was their last stop on their first one-man tour and they’ve planned to end it with a bang.
Holding their guitars and drumstick tighter, the girls calmed their erratic heart and the rising and falling of their chests. They were sweating profusely but in a good way. This is, after all, what they’ve believed in. This is how they communicate to their fans and loved ones.
Haruna motioned to the microphone stand and everyone quieted down to let the vocalist talk.
“Thank you everyone for being here with us. We’ve been grateful of you for supporting us until now. I hope you enjoyed this night as we do.”
The crowd cheered once more but became silent when the bassist positioned herself into the microphone.
If the crowd were all happy and jumping with joy, the bassist was a different story. Her hands trembled as she held the microphone, her throat constricted from all the emotions she was keeping. She held her breath for a second willing herself no to break her voice. Not now. She said to her mind. Not at the time they are near to the end.
“Before we all part ways, please listen to our last song,” Tomomi said. Haruna, Mami and Rina looked at her with a sad smile. She specifically requested that song at the last minute before they’ve started the concert and they knew the reason behind it.
“This song is dedicated to someone special.” Before her voice could betray her, Tomomi walked away from the microphone with her head low and queuing Haruna to do the talking.
“With that, here is our last song…”
