First Day

»Dean's POV«

"Dean, Dean! Wake up, we're gonna be late for school!"

I slowly opened my eyes to see a small moose bouncing on my bed. Nope, its actually just Sammy.

"Okay, okay I'm up! Get off my damn bed." I said with a laugh.

As he walked out of the room I threw my pillow at his head before I actually got up.

I checked the time to see how long I had to get ready.

25 minutes. That should be enough time.

I grabbed some clothes and headed into the bathroom to take a shower.
I got dressed in jeans and a plaid shirt, brushed my teeth and spiked my hair a little. I wanted to look nice since it's my first day at this school.

When I went to grab my bag I heard a knock followed by Ellen shouting
"Boys! It's time to go!"

Sam and I hurried downstairs and got into my baby. She's a '67 Chevy Impala.

The Junior High School happened to be next to the actual high school.

"Have a good day." I shouted to Sam.

"Yeah, whatever." He mumbled.

"Bitch."

His lips quirked up into a small smile.
"Jerk."

When I pulled into the parking lot of the high school, I began to get nervous.

When I cut the engine, I felt a familiar tingle on my arm, meaning my soulmate was writing something on their arm. When I looked down I saw the outline of wings.

My mood lifted and I walked happily into the main office.

"Can a help you, hun?" A middle aged woman at the desk asked.

"Uh, hi. I'm Dean Winchester, and I'm new here."

"Welcome! It's always nice having new students. Give me a minute to print your schedule, and then we'll get someone to show you around."

I nodded in response and went to sit at one of the chairs. My nerves were still all jumbled, and I couldn't help but tap my foot.

"Castiel Novak, please come to the main office." A loud voice said on the speakers.

"Here's your schedule, honey." The lady at the desk said and handed me a piece of paper with all my classes on it.

A few minutes later of silent waiting, a boy walked in. He was wearing black skinny jeans, a nirvana shirt, and a leather jacket kinda like mine. Then he looked up at me, and let me tell you something-
I have never seen eyes so blue.

A couple of seconds went by, and he looked away awkwardly, a shy blush creeping up his face. I shook my head a little to get back to reality.

Holy shit, was I just checking him out?

He cleared his throat before saying "So, um, you must be Dean?"

"Uh yeah. You're Cas right?" I said.

"Castiel." He corrected before continuing.
"Where would you like to go first?"

I looked at my schedule to see that my first period was art, so I might as well go there first. The thought made me smile.

My soulmate likes to draw.

"Can we check out the art room? That's my first class." I said.

"Sure. That's funny, I actually have art first period too." He replied with a shy smile.

On the way there we walked in a comfortable silence for a little bit.

"So, Dean, what made you move to Sioux Falls?" Cas asked.

"My dad died recently, so we moved here to stay with a close family friend."
I said.

Why did I just tell him that? He doesn't need to know my family business.

"Oh, sorry about that. And 'we'?"

"Oh yeah. My brother, Sammy and I." I said.

Then we finally arrived at the art room.

"Here we are. The teacher is really nice, too. I spend most of my time here, I like to draw." Cas said with pride in his voice.

So does my soulmate.

We were heading to my next class, English, when I saw the art display. I was looking around when I saw a familiar name. Castiel Novak.

"This is yours?" I said, pointing to this amazing painting of what looked like an angel. What really caught my eye was the wings.

"Um, y-yeah. Wings are kinda my thing lately." He said while looking down, blushing like crazy.

That's ironic.

"My soulmate has been drawing wings on their arm lately." I blurted out. Then I realized what I just said.

He looked at me with wide eyes before mumbling something about having to be somewhere, and practically ran away.

"See you later Cas!" I called after him.

I started to think about my soulmate's initials on my right wrist.

C.N

I wonder if?... No. I'm straight. As straight as a ruler. My soulmate couldn't be some dude I just met.

I shook my head as if to shake the thoughts out of it, and then decided to explore the school.
