Chapter 3 - Souls, vampyres and blood oh my!

(Ok so lets summarize: I reluctantly went to a party with my bestie Natalie, apparently got bitten by a vampyre and now can't walk out of some strangers house without feeling as if my eyes are about to explode. Yep that about covers it.)

It's been hours since my failed attempt at escaping Ether and Oliver. After my second passing out, I woke once again in the cream walled room. This time without Ether and Oliver. Even though it was highly unlikely, I tried the door to find it was locked tightly shut. This then led to a series of events such as screaming and banging my fist against the door, jittery pacing around in circles, jumping up and down on the marshmallow bed (which I have to say was awesome), scratching my name into the work desk and eventually banging my head against the wall (Could you tell I was bored?).

According to the clock on the wall it was 5:30 pm. (Hour number 4 of being lock up). And I was bloody starving.

Restarting my previous door banging I began yelling.

"What do I have to do to get some food around here?"

No answer.

"Seriously I'm wasting away here, I'm practically bone," my fist froze, 'oh no I'm a supermodel." I groaned and belly-flopped onto marshmallow.

The lock clicks.

"Alright here eat, but first promise that you won't run before I've explained everything OK?"

I rise to see Ether in the doorway, holding a steaming plate of spaghetti. (And if you heard a grumble just then, yes that was my tummy).

In the fight between common sense and hunger, my tummy won.

"Fine explain." I slump down onto marshmallow as Ether shut the door, joined me and handed over the spaghetti. Spaghetti was all over my face before she spoke one word. (Very classy Hanna).

"Good?" Ether asked.

I nod vigorously. Ether turns to face me pulling her legs up underneath her in a lotus position.

"Ok so before when I said that the guy who attacked you was a vampyre I was telling you the truth. Vampyres have existed for thousands of years."

"Hsjsbjdhsbdhd" (mmm talking with a mouth full isn't working). I swallow and begin again.

"How do you know this?"

She sighs, "Because I am one." And in a flash, a shiny pair of fangs descend between her lips.

I loss my shit.

"Holy fuck. No way, your a vampyre? Is Oliver one to? OMG, (Shit did i really just say that?) this is crazy." I can't take my eyes off the fangs (I wonder how sharp they are?)

Ether raises her hand, "Ahem can i continue?" She smiles, amused by my reaction. The fangs go back into her mouth.

"What, oh yeah sorry." I pick up my fork and shove more spaghetti in my gob.

"Anyway the guy that attacked you is named Hector. He's a vamp we've been tracking for awhile as he has a bad habit of leaving a mess behind."

With the spaghetti gone (and my tummy happy again) I join the conversation.

"What mess?"

"Well... Bodies"

"Oh lovely. Wait what about me? How am I not one if those bodies?" (Not that I don't mind not being one).

"My guess was that you were meant to be, but like I said we've been tracking Hector and last night we were following him to try and find his hideout. We were tracking from afar so we didn't find you until after he drained you of most of your blood."
