27. Do or Die

What many people call luck, I call fate. I just

can't believe in luck. I think everything happens

for a reason. Getting my office job with my

brother happened for a reason. Getting stuck out

here happened for a reason. Even my brother's

death happened for a reason. Now Death is coming

for me, and I'm sure it's for a reason just haven't

figured it out yet. As I tensed, shutting my eyes

tight, for the pain that was about to be inflicted

upon me. I heard an explosion in front of me.

" I must be dead, oh god please tell me I'm

in heaven." When I opened my eye, there was a puff

of smoke and somehow the bullet went right

through me. Touching all down be body I felt no

holes or blood. Being in shock I really couldn't

move. All I could really do was stand there and

try to figure how this phenomenon occurred.

When the smoke cleared Immediately saw

a man on the ground with a somewhat futuristic

silver suit on. The only problem with this guy was

that his right arm was gone. Where'd he come

Barely catching a glance of a stem-like

bone structure growing out of the void where his

arm should be. I looked back at the major enemy

progressing towards the one and a half armed

man. I wanted to shout and worn the guy. But when

I tried nothing came out. By the time my mind

started processing the Target kicked the silver

guy(who had somehow grown his arm back) in the

stomach. Sending him into a tree a quarter of a

football field away.

There wasn't much time for him to react

before a branch pierced him through the heart.

Nailing him to the tree about five feet high. When

his eye slits went thin, I knew that I was doomed.

After the Target was sure that the man

was dead. He began to walk towards me at a

steady pace. I've never seen a man so red before.

With his vein protruding from his face, arms. You'd
