*Tyler pov
"Mom, why can't I just do online school or something?" I hated meeting new people. I moved around a lot as a kid, I got use to starting somewhere where I don't know anyone. It's not that I can't make friends, it's that I don't want to. "No Tyler, you have enough trouble making friends. I don't need you cooped up in this house all day.". "I don't have trouble," I protested, "teenagers are just annoying!". "Well Tyler this is your last year of high school, then after that you can do whatever." I sighed as I continued to unpack the shit sprawled around my room.
My dad is constantly having to move around because of his job, but his year he wants to stay in this house.
My room is small and the walls are painted a dark red. I really wanted this room because it matches my furniture. I'm not OCD or anything but I enjoy when things match. The deep red makes a perfect contrast with my dark gray bed spread and black desk.
I'm in the middle of folding a shirt when my mom calls my name downstairs. "Yeah?" I reply. "Come here kiddo". Ugh, I don't wanna, but I go anyway.
I walk down the long empty hall way to the top of the stairs. "Come here Tyler" my mom says, the front door is open. I walk over to her and look at a family. "These are the Blacks, they live a few houses down."
There stands this girl I had seen before. She had hair that reminded me of sunshine rolling over her shoulders. And a set of familiar blue eyes looked at me.
"Welcome to the neighborhood, Im Jenna",
She reached out her hand.I hesitantly shook her hand and swiped on a fake smile. "Tyler"
