Dan could hardly sit still in his boring business class. He knew that once he was out of here he would back at the bridge with Phil. Back in his arms while they watched the sunset. Dan craved for more interaction with Phil and hopefully he would he receive that tonight. At least he hoped so.
When the class finally came to an end Dan bolted out of the classroom. Knocking a few classmates over in the process but he was the first one out. He saw Phil's sleek black car awaiting him and his nerves suddenly took the place of his excitement. It had finally sunk in that he was about to go on his second date with Phil.
Slowly walking toward the car he thought about every possible excuse he could use not to go. As much as he wanted to his luck would never last. The first date was amazing but he would not have the same luck on the second. It was simply impossible! Since good things never last then why would this fling he had started?
Second thoughts were rushing in and Dan felt his knees go weak. He could even feel some tears prick his eyes. Why was he over thinking this so damn much?
"Dan, are you okay?"
His eyes snapped open. He didn't even realize they were shut.
Suddenly Phil was right in front of him, eyes gleaming with worry and confusion.
Jesus, his eyes are beautiful.
"No." He slipped out without hesitation.
Right when the word slipped from his pretty pink lips he was trapped in Phil's arms. He loved Phil's arms and the warmness that came with them. The protection they made him feel. He just adored Phil in a whole. The tattooed male was simply breath taking.
Thinking of Phil and all of his beauty suddenly made Dan feel very insecure of himself. He had pudgy thighs, his not so flat stomach, the nasty smile he had, and his annoying laugh. There was so much more but he decided to not dive into a self pity party. At least not with Phil holding him in his strong arms.
"Do you want to talk about it, Baby?"
Dan shook his head against the taller males chest. Dan was never the type of person to talk about his feelings. He wasn't going to start now. Especially not to a cute boy who he barely knows. The only time he ever talked about his feelings was those late night conversations he and Chris have when they have slumber parties. That's what he needed right now. He needed a slumber party with his best friend.
"Do you think we could go to Pj's house, Phil?" He whispered. This wouldn't be his first time coming in unannounced so they wouldn't be surprised at his presence.
"Of course. There is some work Pj and I have to do anyway." Phil smiled slightly and kissed the top of Dan's head.
Dan could feel his heart beat quicken, his cheeks go pink, and his knees turn into jelly. He hated the affect Phil had on him. He also craved it. He craved everything Phil was and everything he had to offer. Phil was everything.
They got into the black car and drove in silence. It wasn't a silence that was awkward and could be cut with a knife. It was a peaceful one that you wish would swallow you whole. The kind of silence you wish would take over your thoughts at night instead of the nasty one that makes you want to die slowly. Dan wished he could live in this silence forever with Phil. He quickly regret the thought because he loved the sound of Phil's voice.
He was falling to fast and so easy and he knew it.
Phil would be the death of him.
