A Sister's Love

Training

Daphne went with Arcadia to the training room beneath the Golden Kingdom to start working to gain Spriteix. She was determined not to fail because if she did, she would not only lose her powers forever, but also lose all emotions which meant no special sister bond with Bloom.

When Daphne and Arcadia got to the training room, Arcadia instructed Daphne to transform. Daphne did just that.

"Daphne, nymph of Sirenix!"

Daphne was ready.

"Okay Daphne the first challenge is to beat Acheron."

Daphne was shocked but if it meant saving Bloom, she'd do it.

Arcadia summoned Acheron and Daphne went to work.

"I call upon the element of fire, flame spiral!" Daphne shouted and blasted Acheron, catching him off guard.

Acheron then summoned some monsters behind Daphne.

"Daphne, behind you!" Arcadia warned and Daphne turned to blast them with her flame spiral.

BAM! Those monsters were done for.

Daphne turned to Acheron and used her greatest power.

"Essence of Domino! Dragon Fire! Destroy Acheron!"

Orange and red sparks and lights flew out of Daphne and then formed a large dragon. The dragon went straight to Acheron and defeated him.

"Yes" Daphne said to herself as she landed in front of Arcadia, who was pleasantly surprised by Daphne's success.

"That was a difficult fight but you prevailed. You are ready for the next obstacle."

Daphne's heart pounded in her chest, worry but also excitement rushing through her all at once. She followed Arcadia to a single room.

"This room Daphne is where you will be faced with a harsh reality. You must make the decision with your heart or you will fail. Choose wisely nymph of Domino."

Daphne's heart skipped a beat from all the thoughts of what it could be. She hoped it didn't have to do with Bloom.

"Good luck Daphne" Arcadia said as she left Daphne alone in the Reflective room.

Daphne looked at herself in her Sirenix form for what felt like forever when two images popped up in the mirrors.

One was of Thoren and the life she and him could have together. In the other was Daphne and Bloom happy together on Domino with Bloom holding her baby and Sky standing with her.

Daphne didn't want to sacrifice either of the choices but she had to choose one.

With tears in her eyes she said "goodbye Thoren. I'll miss you."

When Daphne said those words, the picture of her and Thoren at their wedding disappeared and the one with her and Bloom stayed.

Tears streamed down Daphne's face but she would rather be with Bloom. She would be happier that way.

The pictures faded along with Daphne's tears just as Arcadia walked in the room.

"I know that decision was most difficult Daphne but it will be worth it if you pass the third and final test. The test of being a true fairy."

Daphne had heard of that test and knew it was extremely hard. Only the best fairies passed it. Daphne suddenly became very nervous but didn't say anything.

She proceeded to the last room along with Arcadia. If she passed this test, she would become a Spriteix fairy.
