The Baby Shower

It had only been about three months since the pregnancy was confirmed and already Bloom's parents, Mike, Vanessa, Marion, and Oritel, Daphne, and the whole schools of Alfea and Red fountain were getting ready to hold a huge baby shower for Bloom.

There was a lot of commotion regarding who should come, what day to have the baby shower, should there be any special speeches, etc..

Bloom was already starting to gain a little baby bump, making everyone fuss over Bloom all the more, especially Daphne.

Because Sky was busy at Red Fountain and trying to arrange the baby shower, Daphne had been put in charge of taking care of Bloom and making sure she was comfortable. Bloom's parents wanted to be there for her, to help her through the pregnancy, but Domino's events and subjects were always demanding, and Mike and Vanessa always seemed to have some sort of plans, between the fire department and flower shop, so that left Daphne and Bloom's friends to take care of her.

On the morning of the baby shower, Bloom woke up to the smell of her favorite breakfast, blueberry muffins and eggs.

Daphne was standing over the stove cooking and Bloom thought it the perfect time to surprise her sister and best friend.

She tip toed over to the stove and put her hands over Daphne's eyes, causing her to jump.

"Who is it?" Daphne asked and Bloom laughed.

"Me you silly goose" Bloom said, removing her hands from Daphne's eyes.

"Thanks for letting me sleep in and thanks for making me breakfast." Bloom said sitting down at the table.

Daphne turned and replied "it's nothing! You need your rest. You're sleeping and eating for two now."

"I can't believe it. You are going to be a mother and I'm going to be an aunt. I love you more than you know Bloom."

Daphne got up and walked over to Bloom. Bloom got up and Daphne wrapped Bloom in a warm but gentle hug.

They stood there hugging for a good 5 minutes, Daphne stroking Bloom's back and Bloom petting Daphne's hair.

Daphne pulled out of the hug and said "let's eat" and on that note, they sat down and ate the blueberry muffins and eggs.

When they were done, Bloom did the dishes while Daphne got dressed and then Bloom got dressed and they headed downstairs to the courtyard for the baby shower.

When they got there, all of Red Fountain was out there and the whole school of Alfea was outside waiting for them. Bloom went straight to Sky and they embraced, Sky placing a kiss on Bloom's cheek. Daphne went to Thoren and the baby shower began.

Bloom's earth parents were there and so were Marion and Oritel. Her friends were obviously there and Roxy was there too.

Bloom sat on her chair as presents were being placed all around her. There were large presents, small presents, and any other size you could think of.

Just when Bloom was getting ready to open the first present, out of nowhere came purple lighting that struck the right section of Alfea.

It shook everyone and everything.

Bloom looked angry but also was in shock.

"What was that!" Bloom demanded.

Then Bloom heard cackling coming from up in the air. She knew who it was.

"Surprise! I'm sorry we would have RSVPd but we got no invite" Icy sneered.

"Go away Icy! We didn't ask you to be here" Bloom yelled in anger.

Icy just laughed.

"I don't like that tone" Stella remarked and Bloom added "neither do I. I didn't want to have to do this today but I guess I'll have to. Come on girls!"

Bloom and her friends got in their positions to transform but right before Bloom called it, Sky yelled to Bloom "be careful!"

Bloom smiled at him and turned to her friends and they said "Magic Winx, Bloomix!"

Instantly they were all transformed and then it was Daphne's turn.

"Daphne, Nymph of Sirenix!"

Bloom went up to hit Icy.

"Volcanic attack!" Bloom yelled and it hit Icy dead on.

Bloom was happy but what she didn't know was that Stormy was right behind her.

"Bloom watch out!" Roxy yelled, but it was too late.

Stormy hit Bloom with a tornado and Bloom went flying towards the ground. Everyone on the ground gasped as Bloom sailed towards the ground, seemingly unresponsive.

Daphne saw what happened and flew as fast as she could after Bloom.

"No! Bloom!" Daphne cried as she raced after Bloom.

Meanwhile, Stella was enraged. She started glowing yellow like the sun and with all her energy yelled "light of Solaria" and it sent the Trix back to Cloud tower.

Then Stella remembered Bloom and they all went to help Daphne. Bloom was almost to the ground when a turquoise ray wrapped Bloom in a bubble, gently setting her on the ground in front of Sky.

"Where did that come from?" Tecna asked, puzzled.

"It was me" said a voice.

Tecna turned around and saw Roxy.

"When I saw that Daphne couldn't reach Bloom, I transformed and saved her from hitting the ground" Roxy explained.

"Thank you Roxy" Flora said and they all gave Roxy a big hug, then flew down to Bloom.

Sky had picked up Bloom and Ms. Faragonda was trying to wake her up. Marion, Oritel, Mike, and Vanessa all came running to Bloom's side just as the rest of the Winx and Roxy landed.

"Thank you Roxy" Sky said with tears in his eyes "you saved her."

Roxy nodded her head and went over to Daphne who was sitting on the steps to the main hall at Alfea. She looked so much in shock but Roxy sat down next to her anyway.

"Bloom is okay Daphne. I saved her."

"I know and thank you so much Roxy" Daphne replied and burst into tears.

"What's wrong Daphne?" Roxy asked, putting an arm around Bloom's sister.

"I wasn't fast enough. I couldn't save her. The baby could have died and it was all the Trix's fault but I couldn't reach her. I couldn't get to her and now? Now she won't wake up" Daphne cried and Roxy wrapped Daphne in a safe, warm, reassuring hug.

Daphne hugged her back and smiled. They got up and went to Bloom. Sky set Bloom on a stretcher that had been brought out by a nurse and they brought her inside.

Daphne, Roxy, and the rest of the Winx got Bloom's baby shower presents and went inside. The party was over and would have to be rescheduled.

The new baby shower would be held in the cafeteria for everyone's safety, that is, if Bloom wakes up...
