Chapter 2: Atleast I Think So...

Emma's POV

I walked into science class, and sat down in my seat. Dreading the fact that I have to spend an entire hour with Calum. I know it doesn't sound like that long, but if you knew what kind of person he is, you'd feel my pain. I sighed in my chair, leaning back, watching a bunch of other students roll in. About 7 minutes later, class began. "Alright class, today, we are going to start a project, on the human body," the class got somewhat excited. "Ah, don't get so excited just yet, I will be picking your partners" Mr. Smith objected . The class groaned. "Now, for right now, we will be-" Mr. Smith got cut off by the door slamming open, then closed. It was Calum, late as always. "Mr. Hood, why are you late? Again." Mr. Smith protested, "We are learning about the human body" he added, "I already think I know enough about that, especially the female one" Calum argued, winking at some slut that was staring at him, I rolled my eyes. "Inappropriate remark Mr. Hood, I don't want to here that again" "Whatever" Calum said rolling his eyes and sitting down next to me...great. "Hey gorgeous" He said winking at me. "Do I need to slap you?" I protested. "Damn babygirl, I love it when you're dominant" I practically threw up in my mouth. And before I could say anything, Mr. Smith started talking again. "Alright, now, I will assign you your project partners" He said. Some people got excited..other people like me, really didn't give a shit and just wanted to get the hell out of here. "Susan and Justin, Emily and Adam, James and Brandon, Calum and Emma-" "wait, WHAT?!" I stood up and yelled. "Yes Ms. O'Neil, you and Calum are partners. Is there a problem?" He said concerned. 'Hell yea there's a problem' I thought. "Uh, no sir, there's no problem, I just wanted to make sure I heard you clearly" I said quietly, sitting down. Calum was there sitting back in his seat, arms crossed, smirking, enjoying every second of this. "So love, when are we gonna meet up for this project?" He asked, trying to be all innocent. "End of the day, at your place, no excuses, I don't have time for this crap" I stated bluntly. "Alright, cool, see you then" he said, we exchanged numbers, then he turned back to face the board. "Mhm, see you then" I mumbled shrugging lazily in my seat.

The end of the day came around and I was standing outside waiting for Calum as Iris then approached me. "Hey Em, so do you wanna go to the mall?" She asked politely smiling. "Ugh, I wish I could. I gotta go to Calum's house for a stupid science project. Mr. Smith paired us up" I said. "Yikes, goodluck. Don't let him do anything stupid" she said. "Trust me, I won't" I replied. I gave her my car keys to drive home, and waited for Calum.

'I've been waiting for this kid for 20 minutes, where the hell is he?' I wondered. I walked around the perimeter of the school, and saw something that made me gag

For a split second, my stomach felt weird. I just shrugged off the feeling. I was so damn fed up with this kid, I sped walked up to them, grabbed Calum's arm, and started pulling him away from the girl, to follow me to his car. "Hey, what the hell was that?" He said kind of angirly. "Unlike you, I want to get a damn education to fucking graduate. I know you don't care about graduating but guess what, I do, so if we're gonna be partners, you better except the fact that I have rules, and boudaries and I'm not gonna sit around and watch you be a man hoe, you understand that?" I said frustrated, slumping myself down in the passengers seat of his car. "Jeez, okay mom" He said, sitting himself down in the driver seat. I shot him a glare, "okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry" He said putting his hands up in defense. "Just drive" I said putting my hand on my forehead, closing my eyes. He started the car, and pulled out of his parking spot, driving to his house. I took about a 10 minutes nap and before I knew it, we were at his house. And can I just say, it was fucking huge. We went upstairs into his room, and I jumped when he locked the door, "jesus, relax" He said trying to calm me down. "Is this where you bring your victoms?-I mean girls?" I said teasingly. "Ha-ha, very funny, and yes actually, why, you wanna be one?" He said coming closer to me. "Nope" I said pushing him away. "Let's just get started already, I don't want to do this anymore than you do"

*about 10 minutes into the project*

"Why don't you do relationships?" I randomly asked, getting bored. "Why does that matter?" He asked, getting frustrated. "I'm just saying, you play with girl's hearts like they're nothing. Why do you take advantage of them so much?" I asked, being stubborn and arguing. "Are you talking about what happened after school today?" He asked. "I don't know, maybe" I said. "Ahh, I get it. Somebody's jealous," he said smirking. "I am NOT jealous" I said looking up at him. "Yeah you are, why would you ask then?" "Random question" I stated bluntly, "mhm, okay then."

*3 hours later*

"Finally, this dumb ass project is done" He said sighing, and flopping down on his bed. "Hey, this 'dumb ass project' is apart of your grade to help you graduate" "don't think I give a shit" He mumbled. I sighed. "That's what I thought" I said. Knowing there was no hope for him anymore. I then called Iris to come pick me up. I was so ready to just go home, take a shower, and sleep. Not having to deal with anyone anymore. Just having the next little bit of the night to myself, to just relax, and to not think about school, OR Calum, and ESPECIALLY not that weird random feeling I got when I caught him and that girl making out. Was it a feeling of disgust..or a feeling of jealousy? My mind started filling with the worst possible thoughts that I didn't want to acknowledge. There's no way in hell I have feelings for Calum Hood. There's no fucking way. At least, I think so..
