Maplepaw bounded after Ivypaw and Birdpaw who was sitting behind Featherstar's den. The Great Willow towered above them as Ivypaw signaled to be quiet. The three apprentices pressed their ears to the roots of the willow and listened closely to what the cats inside where saying.

"Hello. My name is Duskfeather and this over here is Nightpatch. We are IvyClan cats." A voice meowed from inside. Maplepaw didn't like the hint of amusement in the smooth voice.

"Something is off about that cat." She hissed softly to the two apprentices who nodded in agreement.

"Yea, she was not acting like a normal clan cat. And what is this 'IvyClan?' I've never heard of it." Ivypaw unsheathed his claws and snarled a bit.

"This sounds serious... Maybe we shouldn't get involved..." Birdpaw mewed hesitantly . She was always the "perfect cat", doing everything right.

Maplepaw rolled her eyes and listened harder to the conversation inside of the den.

"IvyClan, huh. Never heard of it." Maplepaw recognized Featherstar's voice among the other cats in the den. "Why are you cats here?"

"We heard of rumors of three powerful clans and their territories from the cats we encountered on our journey." The cat who called herself "Duskfeather" paused before continuing.

"The cats also said that there was an small piece of forest that no cats live in. Is this true?" Maplepaw felt a growl rise in her throat. The pine territory is where the Moon Falls were located and neutral territory for the clans. The leaders had made an agreement that there would be no fighting over that territory and that any clan can hunt there.

"It is true but... If we would let you stay there I would have to have a meeting with the other clan leaders. Luckily  the full moon meeting is in a couple of days and we can talk about it then." Maplepaw almost fell backwards at the thought that Featherstar was actually considering letting these cats stay in the pine territory.

At least I might be able to go to this upcoming gathering. The last two moons Featherstar didn't choose me to go.

Maplepaw looked over to Ivypaw whose fur was on end. She knew that he was thinking the same thing that she was.

"We can't let them move into that territory. It sounds too sketchy." Ivypaw hissed quietly.

Birdpaw looked over to him and shook her head. "Are you sure you two just aren't flexible enough for this to happen?"

Maplepaw and Ivypaw both shot her a glance and Birdpaw looked down to her paws.

"I'm going to see if Brightpaw is around so that we can do something together. Hopefully you two accomplish whatever you're trying to do." Birdpaw rolled her eyes and swiftly padded away.

Ughhhh. Birdpaw why do you always have to be like this?

"Ok so it's set now? You're going to talk to the other clan leaders about the territory?" Maplepaw started to focus more on the conversation.

"Indeed it is. Now our warriors will see you to the border. You may not stay in the pine territory until the clans agree to let you stay." Maplepaw breathed out hoping that the other clan leaders will say no to this idea.

Well all we can do is wait I guess.
