Karma's POV
Great. Valentines day today. I've come across a lot of sweet gestures boyfriends do for their girlfriends today. And I am not up for it. I was taking out my things from the locker then I wonder what would Sabrina and Amy do today? Then I imagined Amy and Sabrina hiking somewhere and Sabrina proposing to Amy and then Amy saying yes and then do whatever the fuck they need to do next that I don't give a shit about!
"NO!" I slammed my locker door so hard I thought I was gonna break it. Even all the heart designs around it started to fall one by one.
"Geez Karma! Even my own heart shattered when you closed your locker. Were you trying to break it?"
I turned around knowing it was Amy. I smiled at her and hugged her. When she pulled away, I noticed Amy was holding a small box. Well it's too big for a ring.
K: What d'you got there? This from Sabrina?
A: What? Oh! This? Nope. This is for you. Happy valentines, Karma!
Amy hugged me again and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
K: aww. You got me something? What is it?
A: come on! open it.
She looked giddy so I got excited and opened the box. I saw a new half broken heart with jaged edges. Different from the last one she gave me on my birthday.
A: I figured, since you lost yours..
K: Oh no! I totally forgot to tell you! I found mine! It's at home. Would you like to take yours back?
A: No it's ok. Well now, you can throw away my heart and have this new one! And this one's purposely different because, it's silver. That way, it won't tarnish anymore. and wait for it, surprise! I have mine too! See? That one that we share's a bit rusty now don't you think?
K: Wow! it looks nice!
I tried my best not to look sad with what she just said, I thought, "throw away my heart?" and thanked her with a hug.
A: Sabrina's right you'd like it!
K: Sabrina suggested this?
A: yeah! now how about I put your new necklace on and see how it would look on you?
She took the old necklace from my neck has put the new one. She was seriously gonna throw it.
K: no don't throw it. Give it to me. That's technically mine after all. Your birthday gift to me. Birthday souvenir!
She hand it over and we started walking down to the cafeteria.
A: So are you going to cupid's ball later?
K: no. I think I'd rather watch netflix. I've got 6 episodes lined up already. Are you going with Sabrina?
A: yeah. Well not really. She's out of town to visit her grandma. It's her birthday. We're supposed to meet at cupid's ball at 10. I thought you'd go to this ball, so I thought we could go together while I wait for her.
K: Well if you really would like to go to this ball. Then I guess we could get a few drinks. But bring me home once Sabrina gets there!
A; Yey you're the best! So I'll pick you up at 6. And are you gonna finish your donut?
When we got to the ball, everything was nice. Shane sat with us for a while, Lauren and Liam still being in denial of their pretend relationship. Amy and I laughing all through the night. We even danced together. Sucks that the dj won't play our song request! Amy and I have been talking for hours. We did some catch up and I felt sad and happy at the same time. Sad that we needed to catch up and happy that it's just me and amy again. Just like the old days. We were dancing and lauging away when I heard a familiar voice speak up behind us.
