A old woman, withered away with age, slowly walked her way up the stairs to the attic, where her most treasured item lay. She picked up the yellowed book and made her way back down the carpeted steps to her room. Once on her bed, she opened the book and began to read;

"Once, long ago when magic lingered on the earth, a magical wall was built. This great wall had been built back before kings, before the Light and the Wrong sides, before war and hatred existed.

"In legends, it was said that the wall was magical, built by faerie's with power beyond reason, beyond order.

"They said that it was built not to divide, but to protect the inhabitants of one side from the harsh biome of the other. On the Light side, hot springs and a tropical forest grew, at parallel on the Wrong, where a wintry forest grew.

"The inhabitants of the sides also varied, the Wrong was home of the elves and the shifters. The Light side was home to magic users and goblins.

"When kingdom of the Light  and queendom of the Wrong emerged from clans and gangs of Old time, they used the wall as a border of their land. The  towns near it flourished with trade and work.

"Back then, the wall had doors, and people moved through it with out a care, free to work and live on either side. They could be born on Wrong side, work on the Light side, and marry whoever.

"The books say that magic was different in the old times too. Sorceresses had no limits or obligations, goblins always had gold, and Druids could live in peace, out in the open. The elves lived and worked with all the other races, and mated with them.

"It was called the fabled time, and many now believe it to be just that, a tale. A story.

"The only trusted word from that time was the writings of how the great elf queen died, and not long after, the wall closed it's many doors. The elves and traders on the Wrong side locked away from those on the Light side. Families were split, homes and pets abandoned by owners who would never return.

"The world was thrust into chaos for the first time ever recorded. Death, looting, and many trying to burn or scale the wall - the fabled time was over.

"Over time, our Side healed, weak but working. The Light Side spilt itself into three sections of one kingdom, the Golden Capital, the Great Factory, and the Borderlands.

"No one knows how the Wrong Side is, if or how they adapted. All we can do is watch out for our own skin now, it's every fae for themselves on the Light Side."

The old woman frowned, feeling a piece of paper stuck against the back end of her finished book. It looked like another page, torn out and fused to the back of the book with age. There were only four words written on it in a messy scrawl.

"She can destroy it."
