"Are you okay? You look like you're going to pass out." Aria asked whilst patting the seat next to her for Chris to sit in.
"Yeah, I just need to tell you something," Chris started. Aria nodded whilst gesturing for him to continue. "Aria, I don't know what it is but whenever I'm around you I feel happier. I know that sounds incredibly cheesy and it may seem sudden but," Chris paused to look up at Aria to see how her reaction is. "I needed to tell you because I couldn't sit and watch as you get close with Sebastian and if you like him then that's okay-" Chris was cut off by Aria placing her hand on his lower arm. He couldn't tell what Aria's feeling were about his confession. "Aria, are you okay?" He began. "You know, you're incredibly hard to read"
"But not impossible, like some glass. You just need to find another way to see it. You need to break it down to see inside," Aria quietly responded
"Then I'll build it back up again." Chris spoke honestly whilst tilting his head and grabbing her hand gently.
"I just might let you do that"
"Then we can be surrounded by glass," He said whilst being relieved yet confused about her feelings.
"Not just glass, opaque glass." Aria corrected. "We wouldn't want Mackie and Robert documenting everything,"
"Are we laying down some ground rules?" Chris asked with a smile on his face.
"I believe we are Spangles,"
"Rule 1, not too much PDA especially for Rob and Mackie to see," Chris began.
"Rule 2, we don't push it. We take our time and don't pressure things to happen." Aria continued.
"I like that. Rule 3, we be entirely honest with each other."
"Agreed. Rule 4, whatever happens, we don't let it interfere with our work."
"Definitely. I'm all out of rules," Chris spoke as Aria agreed whilst he patted his hands on his jeans.
The two continued to joke and talk until Chris finally realised that the time was around midnight and began to leave. They both said their goodbyes as Chris began to walk down the corridor of her apartment building.
"Chris!" Aria shouted. "By the way, I like you too." She said with a smirk on her face, contrasting to Chris' humongous smile as he continued back to his car.
