She had her Saturday classes, but she fulfilled her promise still. She saw him there waiting, standing beside Xian Lim's poster at McDonalds. He looked so impatient. She smiled. For the very first time, he didn't come late, he waited for her.

The plan was to watch Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, but unfortunately the movie already started.

He looked so pissed off, she frowned. He saw her eyes form into tears and immediately tapped her back saying, "It's okay. We could stil watch it next time." And yes, he made her feel better once again.

They ended up eating at KFC. She treated him as planned, ordered fully loaded meal and chatted throughout their so-called-dinner.

They talked about random stuffs: school, studies, life, his girlfriend.

She listened carefully in every word he said. He bragged about his girlfriend. And she was there...  breathless, playing with her food, wondering what kind of girlfriend she was before that he chose to get rid of her.

Then he said those words who made her heart skipped its beat. "There's this girl. She's beautiful, charming and smart. I want her in my life, but I don't know. I love my girlfriend so much that.. ugh! Never mind."

She looked directly into his eyes. She examined every single word he said, hoping he'll say it was her. But unfortunately, she's not the girl he's referring to again. She expected, didn't she? She expected him to say her name, but he didn't. She felt her heart broke all over again. She already told herself not to expect many many times. But what happened? She still expected because of the crazy thing they called love.

The clock ticked 7 pm. He knew it was her curfew. She was the only child. She was a girl, so expected that her parents should be overprotective.

He said, he'll accompany her until the terminal. She told him he doesn't have to. But he insisted. She didn't had any other choice but to allow him.

While walking, he showed her magic tricks. She knew the secrets behind those, but pretended she doesn't have any idea.

One more turn, and they would both reach the terminal. He stopped and told her to open her heart again. That made her stop and turned to him. She smiled and answered she doesn't believe in love anymore. He sighed in disbelief, said that she'll soon find a guy who would show her the things she chose not to believe to anymore.

He can't blame her. He knew the reason behind her madness, it was him. He's sorry, but that wasn't enough. That was the reason why he decided to let her in his life again, but only as his friend. No more, no less.

He thought it would make things better, but it didn't. She was in love with him, that even though she'd torture herself in the process of giving his happiness, she would still be happy about it.

They arrived at the terminal at exactly 7:30 p.m. Her mommy kept on calling her phone, but she would end it. She hoped her mom would understand. He faced her and handed her this little pink keychain. It's a letter C, from the first letter of her name. She smiled brightly and thanked him. It was the very first gift she received from him. She knew, she would treasure it for the rest of her life.

He was about to leave when she gave him that short peck on the cheek. He smiled, she smiled.

They bid each other good byes, saying they'll hang out soon again.

He turned his back as the curve of smile in her face got bigger. She thanked God for this one wonderful day and whispered those three little words she'd been dying to say...

"I still love you, bestfriend."
