"Wh-what the-?!" I was shocked, what the hell happened?!
Me and Shinichi had arrived to what could only be described as hell. Within the Belkai Police Department several people rushed around, some bumping into each other, as Megire barked out orders. I mentally calmed myself, as loud noises, such as the scene before us, gave me migraines because of my sensitive hearing.
The two of us noticed the ambulance out front before we came in, not exactly surprising, the department was located practically next to a hospital. However, now it took on a whole other meaning when we overheard that someone had been shot.
"Hey, what's going -OOF!" I tried to ask before both me and Shin were shoved out of the way by passing cops.
"H-hey! What was that -OW!" That was the straw that broke the camel's back, Shinichi was nearly stepped on, to say I was pissed was an understatement.
I gave Shin a look that screamed "cover your ears", when he did so, I sucked in a breath and yelled, as loud as I could(which was bordering jetliner levels of noise):
"EVERYBODY SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!!!!!"

Everyone froze, for no one knew what to say or do after my yell burned itself in their ears. They all turned to me, probably wondering what I would say or do, most looked on starstruck (which I inwardly groaned at) others, looked on in anticipation. These were the people who had known me since I first started working at the department, and one of them, was Megire.
I helped Shin to his feet and turned to the crowd of adults waiting expectedly. I inwardly laughed at the irony of the situation.
I then said, in a voice that could rival Megire's previous tone in authority, "Before I help you all figure this out, can someone please tell me what the hell happened here?!"
The front doors then opened, causing both me and Shinichi to turn around in surprise. There, standing in the door way, was a young, twenty-something year old female with tan skin, brown eyes, which were puffy from crying, and brown hair that was tied back in a ponytail.
The woman rubbed her eyes and walked towards us, another woman then asked: "M-Melissa, what are you doing here..? You should be at the hospital-!"
The young woman, now named Melissa, cut the other off, "Don't try to stop me Jenifer! I need to help them!"
That's when I recognized her, "Y-you're the new girl from Evidence..." I said with wide eyes. Melissa's expression changed to slight excitement, but it was only for a split second.
"Yeah, that's me. And you're the famous Drake Nightwing, who took down the Belkai Shinigami within months of joining the force." She gave me a small, shy smile.
My expression softened, I then asked, in a softer voice, "What happened here?"
Melissa's expression then turned to that of sadness, "Well, me and this new detective, Martin, were talking about you in the Evidence Room when this guy came in and....and..." her eyes started to tear up again.
My eyes widened significantly, she didn't need to finish her story as my mind put the pieces together like a child solving a puzzle.
"They shot Martin, didn't they...?" Shinichi asked, his voice filled with anger. I can't say that I wasn't going through the same emotions.
Melissa looked at the not child and nodded sadly, this seemed to fuel his rage, as he started shaking beside me. I balled my fist in anger. While I didn't personally know him, he was still a member of the Belkai PD.
