VMA 2016 winner of the Best Rock Video was Twenty One Pilots' video "Heathens". Well, we all know no matter which nominee won this we are all still happy but what bothers me is-
They didn't get to perform. I am serious, none of them appeared on the VMAs. What is going on. Here's the thing, I don't give a schist if most people like those "mainstream"and "popular" music nowadays that appear in MTV for 100% of the day on repeat. But, why can't they just give le Rock people a cameo or something.
It's like they don't exist and it's all them. Where are the guitars, basses and drums? Where are what makes "live Rock"? It's like we're the awkward cousins at the corner in a family reunion that no one even acknowledged.
What I'm saying is: Rock is starting to fade. We don't want that. We don't want that in the future it's all just one genre of music that appears. Worse case scenario: No one liking Rock. Not like the We Will Rock You musical where in the future they ban live rock, instruments and people wanting to express themselves.
And honestly, though this may be out of topic, music itself is losing its real purpose. It feels like the "spirit" is losing. I really think that most people nowadays make music just for the sake of popularity and/or money.
Well, at least now I am starting to learn the Bass ((ifIgetone))
So yeah. By the way my updating schedule for Blades and Magic Against Guns and Masks is Tuesdays and Fridays.
So long and goodnigh5.
