My mom told me about it when I woke up early in the morning, on the 29th of September during Eastern time in the States. On this same day in the Philippines, which was yesterday here, on around 8 PM-
Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago has passed away.
At first I thought maybe she was misinformed by false info on the internet. After school I searched up her name and- the results confirmed it. My chest feels nothing, nothing deep or sad. But she was- is an amazing senator. Her attitude is awesome. Like, whoah. Like what they said, she's feisty- The Iron Woman. There are even at least two books, I believe, published containing her jokes, comebacks and whatnot.
She will be missed, and we'll all remember her amazing speeches.
