Falling For The Nerd

Fight

As I put my books in my locker I feel a presence behind me and I tense. I lock my locker then turn around to find Jonathan waiting for me.

"Go in first so no one suspects anything ok" I order Jonathan

"I guess" He answers somewhat sad. I wonder why. Wait why do I care? I shouldn't care he's just a nerd new student who I had to show around.

As I hear his footsteps fade away I notice Sam and Stephanie coming my way.

"Hey girls want to enter the cafeteria together just like back then and just to make everyone make them know who rules this school."

"Of course girl." Sam and Stephanie answer simultaneously. They both get beside me so I'm in the middle and with a swift movement I open the door and everyone looks to us and quiets down. We go to the canteen which technically is a type of restaurant and isn't like a normal type of cafeteria. I could feel eyes on us following our every movement. I love the attention. We order and make our way to the center table which is fully reserved for us.

As we start eating and chatting we hear the door open. Well someone is trying to make an entrance, I think to myself. I look up and well no surprise to who it is. The one and only Nina Parker with her trio Lucy and Brit came in. She's my well known enemy and we have a background but that's another story for later.

" Well,well,well if it isn't Ms.Slut with her trio following her footsteps." I shouted from where I was sitting. I hate her with so much passion. She spots me and gives me an evil glare.

"I could say the same whore" Nina responds.

As she finishes talking I hear something hit the floor with force from the far left side of my table. I turn to my left and I see the group of man whores which I hate. They think they're the center of attention because girls are fawning over them. I see someone start punching a figure which I can't really see because there's a crowd surrounding them screaming " FIGHT!!,FIGHT" I swear these people act more like children than high schoolers.

"Shit what's happening." Sam asks with a confused face on.

"I have no idea but it looks pretty bad." Stephanie responds and starts getting out of her seat.

"Come on Lidia let's go see whose fighting." I also get out of my seat and follow behind Stephanie and Sam.

"Omg it's that new kid I think" Stephanie whispers to me.

Once we get there I realize the figure is Jonathan and for some reason I feel like I have to stop it so I immediately get Stephanie and Sam to help me push the crowd and stop them.

"Jason stop, What's wrong with you you're hurting him get off him." I shout. Jason looks at me and then chuckles. I look down and see that Jonathan has a bleeding nose and a cut by his eye.

"Why should I princess, you've never cared for any other guy. Are you actually developing feelings for some nerd." He says.

"Why do you care Jason all you care is about your looks and sex so stay out of my way or you know what I could do to your dad's business in the snap of my fingers"

"Fine princess but next time it won't end like this. You should be happy nerd that princess here intervened this because next time it'll end worse." With that Jason let's go of Jonathan and winked at me before leaving with the rest of the man whore group. The people start dispersing. But of course it doesn't end that simply.

"So now you're into nerds I guess that's how low you would stoop"

I turn around to see Nina. Lord help me not kill this bitch.

"Nina I would shut it because at least I haven't fucked the whole guy population here" I respond glaring at her

Just then the bell rings signaling lunch is ending.

I hear Jonathan groan. I turn my attention to him.

"I told you to keep away from anyone popular but of course you decide to fight" I scold Jonathan.

"Well it's not my fault that I'm actually trying to defend myself instead of submitting to them." He says angrily. I sigh and help him get up.

"I'm going to take you to the nurse office. Steph can you tell Mr. Franco that me and Jonathan will be late to his class."

"Alright Lizzy I'll be sure to tell Mr. Franco, Be careful" Steph and Sam make their way to the table to get their stuff and leave to science class.

"Lead the way Lizzy"

"Don't call me that"

"Why?"

"Because"

"Because what?"

"Can you shut up"

"ooh feisty It's a turn on"

"For a nerd you sure know how to not stop talking and annoy me"

"Only for you"

"Were here"

With that I go in the room and call her name.

"Ms. Rosie are you here there's a student who needs a quick check up."

"Lidia what a surprise how much I missed you during the summer sweetheart. How've you been? Oh and who's this and why is he bleeding come over here so I can check you right away." Ms. Rosie came out of a room and starts getting her stuff ready. I've met her and she's surprisingly young and sweet. Sometimes I come here to chill and just talk to her when I feel upset because she understands and gives me advice. She's a loving mother and probably is there for me more than my actual parents since they're always gone. She has two sons who are 5 and 7 year olds . she also has  a husband Tyler there such an awesome family I wish I could have such an close family I wish I could have a family like that, a family who's there for you and has your back any time. How much I wish but anyways that's just my life lonely.

"Hey, I've been fine and this a new student his name is Jonathan transferred from Seattle."

I didn't want her to know he got into fight because she would make a big deal so I left out that little detail. Ms. Rosie didn't question anymore and was concentrated in Jonathan so I sat down and took out my phone to distract myself.

"Well Johnathan's nose should be fine now but his cut by his eye needs to be stitched which should be easy and fast."

As Ms. Rosie said this I see Jonathans face pales.
