I stare at the clock, the longer I look the slower I feel the time goes. School is only about a month in and I am already bored of it. *RINGGGGGG* Finally the bell rings and the sound is as sweet as candy. I know now that I am free from this death trap, Math class.

Before anyone else is standing up, I am out the door and on the way to meet my friends, Gianna, Alex, Kara, and Carly, to head back to my place. It is finally Friday and there is a party that our friend Justin is throwing. Justin is the captain of the varsity football team and is a senior along with the rest of us.

I find my friends and explain, "Alright well we are on this side of the school and my bus is on the opposite side. So if we wanna make, I suggest we start running now!"

Gianna puts her hand on my shoulder and says, "Relax T, I drive to school remember? We can just take my car back to your place. Let's go!"

I want a car really badly, I have my license. It is just that I have two sisters that are older then me so they got their cars first. I will get my middle sister's (Kylie's)  white car when she gets a new one this spring so my parents don't need to pay for another car.

We make it to Gianna's car through all the madness and pile in. I'm upfront with Gianna, so the first thing I do once she turns on the car is turn up the radio so loud that I can't hear myself think. As soon as the music goes up Carly reaches from the back and turns it down. We all stare at her with strange looks, but she holds her and in the air. Finally she explains, "Before we start destroying this song, we have to...PUMP UP THE CROWD!" She starts waving her hands around in attempt to hype out an imaginary crowd. Carly is honestly just a comedy show.

We butcher songs with our voices the whole 7 minute ride from Riverview Highschool to my house. When we get into the house we all start raiding the kitchen for food. We may be just teenage girls, but we eat like animals. I check the time and notice it is 2:45, we have to go to Justin's around 7 I think.

Alex asks, "Does everyone even know what they are wearing? That alone usually takes us forever to figure out." I laugh a little thinking about how many times we change our minds about clothing.

"I brought like 3 outfits just because I couldn't decide before. As of now I still don't know," Kara explains.

Out of nowhere, Carly says, "I don't even remember what I brought. I just shoved clothes in a bag hoped something will work out later."

I laugh as we all grab our mountains of food and walk into my living room. We all sit down around the room and begin feasting as I turn on the TV. We sit there staring at the screen like zombies as the time passes.

Then, Gianna jumps up and screams, "Shit, It is 6 and we haven't done anything yet!" Everyones eyes widen as we all look at each other realizing that we just messed up big time. Gianna continues, "Why are you all just staring at each other? Get up! Let's go! Move it, move it, move it!"

With that motivation we all were off. Five teenage girls scrambling around the house looks like an ant hill when water is poured on it. We are running around between rooms on the second floor of my house. I will be incredibly shocked if we aren't late.

Not to my surprise, we are finally done getting ready by 7:30 which makes us thirty minutes late now. I yell up to the girls, "Come on! We are already late!"

Alex looks over the ledge to where I am by the front door and says back, "Who cares darling we don't have to be there right away."

Gianna jumps in and explains, "The party doesn't start until I get there anyway!"

Laughing at my loser friend's comment, I walk over to the mirror by the coat closet and examine my outfit. I take a deep breath while thinking about how our whole grade, including the whole varsity football team, will be there tonight. I don't need to impress them, I just don't feel like looking like an idiot either.

Feeling confident in my clothing choice I look away from the mirror to see my friends all ready to go. But then, I remember I didn't grab my bag...or do my eyeliner...or put my shoes on. I go sprinting back up the stairs as I hear faintly behind me from Kara, "Of course she's not ready yet." Laughter is followed by the comment from the rest of the group, but I am too focused on getting myself done to even comment back.

Once I am finally done another five minutes later we are out the door and on the way to Justin's.

Before we even pull into the driveway at Justin's, I can hear the music blaring. We pile out of Gianna's car and make our way through the crowd to find some of our other friends. I notice that some of the girls have already disappeared in the mass of people. Still left with me is Kara and Gianna though. Then, Gianna's boyfriend, Mason who is like my older brother, finds us and throws one arm around Gianna's shoulder and continues to walk with us.

Finally, I find Justin, he has been my guy best friend since we were in seventh grade. I jump up and sit on the pool table in Justin's basement with Justin on one side of me and Gianna on the other. A boy walks up to Justin, then starts talking to him and I recognize him. His name is Hunter Logan and he is on the football team with Justin. He is one of the popular guys in our school. I have only really seen him on social media and sometimes in the halls.

Then Justin randomly turns Hunter's attention to me by saying, "This is my friend Tessa she is pretty chill man. You'd like her."

I feel my cheeks heating up as I look down trying to hide my embarrassment. Hunter is still looking at me and starts, "Yeah, I think I will like her," he takes a deep breath before continuing, "Hey, I gotta run, but can I get your number so we can talk later?" I nod as he hands me his phone. I put in my number and hand it back to him as my stomach starts turning in knots. He thanks me, then winks at me before vanishing back into the crowd of people.

My thoughts are broken when I feel a nudge on my shoulder from Gianna. She is winking at me while Mason is mouthing 'get some' at me. I flick both of them in their necks while laughing and shaking my head. The excitement from the events before leaves a smile on my face as the night goes on.
