"What do you mean you cuttin my cable off!?" Chris yells at the phone
"Sorry sir it says here that you haven't paid your bill in three weeks " the cable guy saids
"I had my cousin go pay it for me cause I had to work" Chris said
"Well it shows he didn't"
"DAMMIT JAMAL"
"I'm sorry sir"
After the guy said that he hung up the phone
Tempted to throw the phone at the wall he restrains himself knowing that he couldn't afford a new one.
Walking to the window he just stares at the neighbors across the street from him who lived in a nice house. Un like him who lived in a old apartment building.
All of a sudden Chris gets a phone call.
"Who could this be now man?"
Looking at my phone there caller is says it's a blocked number
"Who dis?" I answered in the most ghetto way
"Nigga, this yo cuz Quan"
"Ohh wassup bro I haven't talk to you in a while"
"Yeah yeah before we get into the chitchat and stuff lets just cut straight to the chase. I need you to do me a huge favor"
"Man last time I did yo ass a favor I got my ass shot at" I said thinking I know this nigga ain't just ask me for a favor
"This time it's nothing like that one. This one you actually get paid. Cash in hand. Not violence or anything like that."
Man I really need the money I'm in a tight spot right now.. But I don't wanna risk my life again.
"How much money we talking" I asked to help me with my decision
"100 dollars an hour and you work 9 hours a day or more"
With out hesitation I said
"Hell yeah I'll do you the favor"
"Hahaha okay coo. Now let me tell you about the job. You will be basically training... People.. To be maids" he said
"They pay that much for maid training??"
"Yeah, nigga that's my job you will just be replacing me till I get better that's all"
"How long it's gonna for you to get better?"
"6 months"
"Phewww what the hell you did to yo self bro"
"Nothing, but can you do it?"
"Yeah bro I'm in"
"Ight cool tomorrow you will be meeting my homie Travis at subway parking lot since you don't know where to go. Imma text him right now"
"okay thanks fam"
"No prob man. But remember this, once you start the job there's no getting out so easy"
When he said that I just kept shaking my head like he can see. Then seconds later he hung up.
Yess I finally got a good paying job!
Can't wait to get started
