" Hey baby boy. Sleep good?" I asked from my couch in the corner. He rubbed his eyes sleepily as his black hair fell in different directions.
" I always do when I'm over at your house." he listened for moment. " who the hell is in your house? " he asked, confused. I sighed. " dad got some exchange students. Four. I'm supposed to meet them over dinner..." I trailed off and he grimaced. " Do I need to leave?" I shook my head quickly. "nope. Dad said he'd explain and anyone who didn't like it could suck it." his exact words. I got to admit, besides never being home, my dad was pretty cool. " sweet. When can I have more meds?" I got up and crossed the room as he fully sat up and I brushed a hand on his forehead again. " not for another hour or so, honey, sorry." he groaned, hugging me and burying his face in my collar. " I hate this Nesha!" he moaned. I ran my fingers through his hair. " I know baby boy, I know." I murmured, hugging him tighter. He always hated being sick like this. He skipped a grade when he was in 3rd grade and he just thought him being sick all the time just made him more of an outsider.
" Can Terrance come for supper?" he asked suddenly. I sighed. "Brandt would have to come too then." I pointed out. He nodded into my shoulder and I sighed again, calling for Rosalyn. She was in my doorway a moment later. She smiled softly at Finn. "Hey kiddo. What's the verdict this time?" she asked, stepping in. I snickered. " Mono. He says probably from his girlfriend." she laughed lightly. " Jeez, Finn. What did you need Ten?" she asked. Only her and my dad was allowed to call me that. " Ask dad if Terrance and Brandt can come for supper for Finn. Besides, if those exchange students are going to be hanging around then they're going to have to meet them anyway." I added. She nodded, leaving. Finn pulled Away and laid back down and sighed.
" You didn't have to stay with me all day. Rosalyn could have stayed with me and I would have been fine." I shook my head and pushed him over until I could lay down as well.
" I know you're not comfterable staying here unless I'm here." I said. He nodded, closing his eyes. A few more minutes and he was asleep again. I stood and went to my couch, picking up my book again.
