Chapter 1: Telling Lily...

Robin's Story: 

I had been told I couldn't have children. It's not like I didn’t want children, just not now. How am I supposed to tell Barney, Lily, Marshall or Ted that I can’t? I will have to keep it a secret for now. A lot of things happened to me over this year.... I cheated on my boyfriend Kevin with Barney... Then I thought I was pregnant with Barney's kid, which it turned out that I wasn't. And now I have to choose between Kevin and Barney. How am I going to do that? Barney has been avoiding me since I told him I’m not pregnant. It's like he really wanted a baby.

I was in a different world of my own at the moment; so many things were rushing through my head... I needed to talk to someone but...who? 

“Robin, do you want a drink?”' asked Ted.

“Earth to Robin Scherbatsky” called Lily waving a hand in front of my face. I suddenly snapped out of my thoughts. 'hmmmm?' I mumbled.

“Ted's getting drinks, do you want one?” Marshall said looking at me worriedly. I shook my head saying nothing and looked back at the concerned faces of my friends.

“What's wrong Robin?”

“Nothing is wrong Lily”

 'There is, tell us Robin...I'll get Marshall to go away if you want to tell me.'

'Lily i can't-' 

'Marshall go away' 

Marshall looked at Lily as if to say 'why? do i have to go?' Then Lily gave him a stare and he got up and ran over to Ted at the bar.

'Robin you haven't been the same since Christmas, what's up?'

'Lily i can't tell you..'

'Robin your my best friend..you can tell me'

yeah tell my best friend who will tell her husband Marshall... who would tell Ted and it would get back to Barney. 

Lily just stared at me. She wanted to know. I just wanted to leave. Maybe I should tell her.

'Is everything Okay with you and Kevin?' she asked.

'Lily...i will tell you only if you promise to keep it a secret'

'Okay. My lips are sealed' 

'Two weeks ago....' I took a deep breath. 'I slept with Barney' 

'You WHAT?!' 

'Lily please keep your voice down'

'Ok, Sorry... do continue' she whispered. 

 'After that I thought i was pregnant but I did tell Barney about it.. and we went to see if i was but it turned out i wasn't but...'

'Is that why Barney hasn't been talking much?'

I nodded 'but..'

'wait there's more?'

'I was called back to the doctors again and told me that...' i started to tear up again. Lily jumped up and was at my side in a flash and put her arm around me. 'Robin what else?'

'I cant have children Lily' i cried onto her shoulder. 

'it's ok Robin. Don't cry' she looked up over her shoulder at a worried Ted and Marshall at the bar, Then Barney walked in and was in a flash over talking to a girl. i have to say maybe i am jealous of the fact i'm not with Barney. i mean he just ended things with Nora and im still with Kevin. i feel terrible now. 'Lily?'

'yeah?' 

'what should i do?' 

'I think you should talk to Barney maybe?'

I sighed and nodded. 'yeah i guess i should tell him, i'm going to go home i need to get some sleep have to get up at 3 am for work' i got up not realising that Barney was up walking back over to Ted and Marshall. 

I walked into Barney.. 'Oh crap.. hey Barney' i said not looking him in the eye.

'hey Scherbatsky... where you off to?'

'have to go home i'll see you around.' He bit his lip as i said that.

Before he could say anything else i ran out of the bar.....

So this is Robin's part of the story.. i know its short but next time it will be longer and some people might think its no good or what not but this is my first story so the next one will be better please like and comment thanks guys!
